Faith and science do not have to stand in opposition but can go hand in hand. We believe that God is not against science but stands above it. As scientists, we can already understand much about the workings of our bodies and even our souls, and we can intervene when something goes wrong. But how much more can our Creator, who made us, bring healing where needed! Just because something is invisible does not mean it doesn’t exist or that it cannot be discovered and understood. Electricity is an invisible force that was discovered, and we benefit from the results of this power! In the same way, psychological science has revealed much about our souls and everything that influences them. For the exact scientist, however, this is a much more difficult matter because it cannot be measured or weighed in the same way as our physical body.

And yet… does that make it less important or less relevant? Isn’t there, regarding mental issues and their significant impact on physical health, an even greater domain to explore? How many diseases have a root in our psychological and even social condition? We have discovered that there is also a divine science, which means discovering and understanding who God actually is and what His supernatural, invisible power has brought about and can bring about. There is a spiritual, invisible reality where we can see its effects in people’s lives, in relationships, and in mental and physical health. There is a much broader and more expansive reality than what we can perceive in the natural visible world. Again, this presents a challenge for the scientist because we are confronted with different substances, but that doesn’t make them any less real.

All of science is constantly evolving. New things are being discovered all the time, and these are also constantly adjusted to new findings. For a long time, we were convinced that the earth was flat. Now we know that this idea makes no sense, and we can easily dismiss it. When the first steps were taken in space, entirely new laws of nature applied, and they had to be considered; otherwise, no further exploration would have been possible! It is worth it for us as scientists and doctors to open ourselves to a new spiritual reality that does not dismiss already discovered medical science but adds so much more to it, allowing us as doctors to heal or help heal much further, deeper, and more permanently!
