Miraculous recovery from pelvic fracture

MONTHS OF PELVIC PAIN DISAPPEAR ON GOOD FRIDAY

Fransien tells us her story herself:

Since early 2020, I had been going through a rough patch. I have severe osteoarthritis and was prescribed medication by the rheumatologist, including cortisone, which I took for a year. That’s also the reason why since January I had a crack (fracture) in my pelvis — very painful. According to the doctors, there was nothing to be done except bed rest and taking a lot of calcium. This also caused pain in my abdomen, pain when urinating, pain when going to the toilet, pain when lying down, pain when sitting… always pain…

They told me to lie flat for six weeks and then things would improve. They didn’t… Eventually, when I sat down, I could no longer stand up… it was as if I had a paralyzed leg I had to drag along. I was supposed to go to rehab, but due to COVID that wasn’t possible. I had to see another doctor, and her verdict was very short: “that pelvis is going to keep causing problems, we’ll start by replacing the hip with a prosthesis.”

I’m used to watching the live stream from God’s Ambassade, and I had sent in a prayer request. During the healing service on Good Friday, I heard Hugo say: “and now we’re going to pray for our Fransien who has a pelvic fracture, and that sounds like a painful affair.” When Hugo spoke those words, I felt so blissful, a wave of deep gratitude filled me. After Hugo’s prayer I could stand up again, without pain. I couldn’t walk smoothly at first, I was still limping, but after lying down so long my muscles had become very weak.

Then came the moment I had to go back to the hospital (OLV Aalst) for X-rays and a checkup. I was waiting in the long line at the front desk with my mask on when the rheumatologist passed by and recognized me even with my mask. She came over and said: “Give me the papers, you don’t need to wait, you’re in too much pain, go to the waiting room.” I thought: “that’s nice, but I’m not in pain anymore!”

In her office she was looking at all the results, and then I had to come look at her screen. What she saw wasn’t normal, she said, “because this is your pelvis and all we see is a scar — the fracture is completely gone… well, that’s impossible, this is miraculous” (she repeated this three times). I didn’t even get a chance to respond, because time was short… “Well,” she said, “you are a bit of a problem case with everything you’ve been through, so I’m going to increase your medication… but remember to immediately stop the methotrexate if you get a fever.” And off she went…

I didn’t feel good about that — I’m not a problem case, I’m a woman created in God’s image and likeness… And such strong medication, even though they had to draw blood four times to find just a tiny trace of rheumatism…

Okay, I had very severe osteoarthritis, but I thought: “if my God helped me with my pelvis, then He’ll help me with the osteoarthritis too.”

This was on Friday, and Monday morning I was supposed to take the heavy dose, but I didn’t feel like going to the pharmacy to get the medication. On Sunday afternoon I suddenly got sick and had a fever of 38.5°C — and I never get fevers. I stayed in bed and Monday morning it was 37.5. Then I asked the Lord: “is this fever from You, to warn me not to take that medication? Okay, You are my Healer and I will not take it.” The next day the fever was gone and strangely enough I had no more pain either.

At this moment I have absolutely no issues with my pelvis. I can sit, walk — TOP!

Recently my husband ran into our family doctor. My husband believes in his own way — I’m way too exuberant for him. The doctor said: “I got a message from the hospital that Fransien had a pelvic fracture… a painful and difficult case.” “Yes,” said my husband, “but she’s healed and the rheumatologist spoke of a miracle!” That coming from my husband’s mouth is already a miracle. “Well,” said the doctor, surprised, “miracles do happen!”

Now when I see Remco Evenepoel, the cyclist, struggling on TV, I know what I’ve been healed from!

So now I’m holding on to this agreement with my God, and if I have any more flare-ups, I’ll bring them to the Lord. Let’s pray together that this osteoarthritis will also leave my body and that I will be a witness to our Most High God.

In the meantime, I’m also attending the healing school. I believe God wants to use me in His work, and I’m open to it, because I see so much suffering around me, and I know Who lives in me…

Thank you for everything you do!

Miraculous healing of bilateral hip bursitis

I had been suffering from a pressing, nagging pain in both my hips for some time, but at the end of June, after overexerting myself, I developed a stabbing pain in both hips. Since our summer vacation was approaching, I went to the general practitioner. She prescribed anti-inflammatory medication, but it didn’t work. Then she referred me for an ultrasound of the hips, which showed acute bursitis in the right hip and to a lesser extent in the left.

To still be able to leave on vacation, the orthopedist gave me an injection with cortisone,

a strong anti-inflammatory drug, in both hips. It was supposed to bring quick improvement, but during the vacation the pain only increased. I could hardly walk short distances and going uphill or climbing stairs was very painful. Sleeping also became almost impossible due to the pain on the sides of my hips, which made it impossible to lie on either side.

At the beginning of August, I had another appointment with the orthopedist, who again gave an injection with cortisone in the inflamed bursae of my hips. But again, the pain did not subside and I had to cancel more and more activities. I scheduled a new appointment with the orthopedist who now, because I had reacted poorly to the previous injection, gave me an infiltration with a different product. According to him, the effect of this injection would take longer to set in but should also last longer. This was the last possible injection, as repeating it more than three times can also cause damage to the joint.

Meanwhile, several people from church prayed for me and although the symptoms initially seemed to lessen, they returned again. The inflammation became chronic and new injections were no longer an option.

So I looked forward with great expectation to the healing service at the beginning of December. At one point, Hugo made a call for people with problems in the tendons or muscles of the leg. I hesitated for a moment — the hip might not be considered the leg — but I still went forward. This word was for me!

That evening, Hugo spoke about Psalm 52 and quoted verse 3: “God’s lovingkindness endures all day long,” so also today and again tomorrow. He prayed for me and asked me to walk a lap to see if the pain was gone. It didn’t happen immediately and while walking around the room, I was prayed for again… until the pain had to leave in Jesus’ name. Thank You, Father!

Walking is now no problem again, and sleeping is also going great since I can now lie on my side without pain, on both sides. I even dared to sprint for the bus at the corner of our street, and it went just fine. Thank You, Jesus — that feels so good after all this time!

The verse from Psalm 52 gave me perspective and healing, and I am holding on to it now.
This brings me to the beautiful final verses of Psalm 52: “But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it; and I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your saints.”

Walking in Authority Brings Healing from Hernia

Netty gives us a brief testimony about attending our healing school:

“From September 2018 to May 2019, I attended the healing school of God’s Embassy. What I mainly learned there was the authority we have received as disciples of Jesus to lay hands on the sick to heal them.

I became increasingly aware of that authority in Christ. At the end of June 2019, I had the opportunity to pray with someone who had suffered a hernia in his back. I laid hands on him and spoke healing over his back in Jesus’ name.

In the first few days, nothing changed. He was on strong painkillers and in a wheelchair, but within a short time the pain subsided, and he started walking with a crutch. The doctor and physical therapist were amazed at the speed of his recovery! By the end of July, he was walking upright and without a crutch and only had some residual symptoms. Now he is almost completely recovered.

It is wonderful to know that we can go out together with Jesus to offer healing to the people around us in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Not by our own strength, because in our own strength we can do nothing…”

Finger heals without human intervention

After our previous healing service, we received the following testimonies from Mary: “I had been suffering from a painful finger for two or three weeks. It was difficult to hold a pot, pan, or even a glass with that pain. So it really bothered me. As we were getting ready to go to the healing night, I spoke to the Lord about this problem. I said, “Lord, You can touch me, wherever I am…” During the healing service, I suddenly felt that I could move my finger without pain. No one prayed for my finger that evening, it just happened right there in my seat! To this day, my finger still works perfectly. I actually have another similar testimony: A few months ago, I experienced pain in my left knee after a senior gym session. I had probably made a wrong movement. This happened on a Tuesday. On Wednesday, I was still in pain and placed my hand on my knee and prayed. On Thursday, while sitting in the car, I felt warmth rising in my knee. When we got home, I asked my husband if my knee felt warm and he said it actually felt rather cool. But when I moved my knee, it quickly became clear that the pain was gone. All praise, honor and thanks to the Lord, our God!

Obedience to God, even at work

Liesbeth shares her story:

“At the beginning of 2018, Papa was inviting me in many ways to return to teaching. He made it clear to me in various ways. He used people who didn’t even know I had worked in education before, speakers at conferences, people from church, His Word… Since I had no intention of going back to teaching, I eventually said: “Papa, I don’t see it, but if that’s what You want me to do, then You’ll have to provide a place at a school.”

And He did! Since I obeyed Him in this, my life has taken a completely different turn: more freedom, more peace, more of Him.

On September 1, 2018, I started teaching again at the Bible school in Mechelen, where Jiska also teaches. This time with kindergarteners, something I had hardly done before — I previously taught in elementary. At first, I experienced a huge internal struggle. A lot of questions came up, such as “What am I doing here? Can I still communicate with kindergartners? Is my teaching good enough?”

One day, Jiska simply responded that with love, you can go a long way. Then I thought: “Yes, I can do that.” Yet I still kept wondering: “what am I doing here?”

It soon became clear to me that Papa was using me at school for my colleagues, and I loved that. I had lots of great conversations, also about faith. Especially with Sandra, a teacher in the third kindergarten class. These were very open, edifying and beautiful moments, spontaneously led by Papa.

At the end of the school year, Sandra found out that her daughter had a tumor near her ear, and it was wrapped around a nerve. It would be a difficult surgery. We prayed together that Papa would guide the surgeon’s hands where the surgeon might fall short. The amazing thing was that he was able to remove everything.

On July 16, they heard it was lymph node cancer. They had to do further testing to see if there were any metastases. She shared this with our colleague group and asked for prayer. At that moment, Jiska was with me and I remember clearly that we both immediately declared healing. I also sent Sandra an encouraging message from both of us. Since we had just returned from the Fatherheart School, we were on fire and had no doubt about Iman’s healing. I notified our team to pray and also some people from the Fatherheart School. On July 19, the first results indicated that there were no metastases. They believed that God was at work.

More tests followed, and they were to receive a final result on August 5. On July 28, during the service, I felt in my heart that it was the day to thank God for Iman’s healing, because she was healed. I shared this with Sandra and she was able to receive it. Later I heard that Jiska had sent her a message that week with the same message. How beautiful it is when Papa uses you to encourage and confirm. On August 5, we received the message that there were no metastases and that Iman was completely healed. What an amazing God we have!

When I later met up with Sandra for a chat before the new school year, we had a wonderful time together. We were proud, joyful daughters of Papa who were incredibly grateful for what He had done for us and that we could encourage each other in the process. Papa gives you a new family that is so precious.

I’m thankful to Papa that I could be a part of this story. Once again I was reminded that I am His ‘fleppekakske’ (for the Dutch: dearest little one). Sandra loves that word and is learning that she too is Papa’s ‘fleppekakske’, and finds it a brilliant term.

What I also enjoy so much is how Papa opens doors for healing and belief in healing. Sandra was very skeptical about it, and now she is open to more of His miracles of healing. How wonderful and special it is when Papa can work through you when you give Him permission. I, an ordinary woman, in whom He, the Most High God, trusts to show His glory. I want more of that, much more. It humbles me and makes me feel soooo loved at the same time. I love my Papa and He loves me, that I know for sure.”

Sick to the exam with God

Monia tells her story:

“The evening before my first exam in June, I became very nauseous. A while later, I started vomiting. My brother had the same problems. For a large part of the night, we were both throwing up. Together with mom, we were of course praying right away…

I felt miserable and thought there was no way I could take the exam the next day. I eventually fell asleep during the second half of the night, and mom had said the Lord would continue to heal me in my sleep. That gave me peace. She put on some soft Christian music and let me sleep until 10:00 AM.

When I woke up, I was still very weak. Even thinking was exhausting, and I still felt sick. The exam was scheduled for the afternoon at 2:00 PM. We were considering what to do. Going to the doctor would mean a resit in August, so mom said to just try it with Jesus.

She drove me to the exam by car because cycling really wasn’t an option. I still had to climb quite a few stairs, which tired me out. But I made it and did my written exam from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. It went smoothly.

There was one word in the exam that I had felt led to study again in the days before. It was very encouraging to discover that God was also guiding me during my study time. Amazing, isn’t it? He already knows exactly which questions will be asked!

And in the end, I got 17 out of 20 on this exam… thank You, Jesus!”

Painful toe must listen to the Word of God

Ann had been dealing with a very painful toe for a long time because the nail was pressing into the nail bed. Sometimes it would even wake her up at night, and nothing could relieve the pain. She tried all kinds of things to fix the nail herself, but nothing helped… until she realized she hadn’t prayed about it yet. After all, didn’t Jesus go to the cross for that too? A simple prayer changed everything: the pain completely disappeared and never came back… A painful toe may not seem like a big deal? True, but it can demand a lot of attention… and now it doesn’t anymore. Thank You, Father!

Wrist cyst disappears after prayer

Some time ago, Inger showed Ann her wrist… there had been a soft lump on it for months. Ann immediately recognized it as a harmless wrist cyst. However, these can start to cause discomfort if they grow… so Inger spoke to the cyst and told it to disappear. And after a while, it did: the cyst has now been gone for months. Thank You, Father!

Phantom pain disappears after prayer at staff evening

Ludo, our house cook, lost part of his thumb and pinky, and his entire index, middle, and ring fingers on his left hand on the evening of Monday, March 21, 2016, due to an accident… and that less than a week before our Easter celebration with dinner, where he was in charge of the kitchen. He was rushed to Gasthuisberg where Professor Nijs operated through the night and attached the middle finger in the place of the index finger. The morning after the surgery, as Professor Nijs left the operating room, the attacks on the Brussels Airport in Zaventem and the Maalbeek metro station occurred, and he had to immediately return to the operating room… it became a long marathon for him! Ludo stayed in the hospital for a few days but was present at our Easter celebration that Sunday… already a miracle in itself… and the kitchen was beautifully taken over by a team of dedicated people from our church. When he left the hospital, Ludo stopped all pain medication, but very soon he became well acquainted with phantom pain. Phantom pain is a pain sensation perceived as coming from an amputated limb. It is a common phenomenon after amputation and occurs in about 70% of patients. Phantom pain most often occurs in episodes that can vary in intensity and frequency but can also be chronic and constantly present. Research has shown that the brain area that originally corresponded with the amputated limb remains active and is either chronically or occasionally activated. The brain interprets this as if the amputated limb is still there and in pain. After the operation, Ludo experienced sometimes bearable, but sometimes unbearable, pain in his left hand. The assistant of Professor Nijs suggested medication that would work on the faulty impulses from the brain, but Ludo chose not to take it. Despite the pain, he continued all his work, including taking care of our Christmas and Easter feasts for around a hundred people, chopping and sawing trees, etc… Even the doctors remain astonished and don’t understand how he does it… but Ludo knows: with his Father, of course! At the staff evening for team leaders on April 2nd, Ann felt led to pray for Ludo’s fingers. We believe that the Father can make his fingers grow back, and Ann prayed for that again that evening. Ludo also asked her to pray against the phantom pain, and Ann did. Since that evening, Ludo hasn’t felt any pain in his hand… and he’s very happy about that. Now we continue to pray for full restoration of that hand… for our God and Creator, that is entirely possible!

Death and life are in the power of the tongue

Eva sent us the following miraculous story this past week: “I’m on medical leave. I had a swollen right leg. The doctor found it puzzling and sent me to the radiologist for an ultrasound. According to the radiologist, it turned out to be a complex issue: fluid in the knee, a worn kneecap, a serious inflammation of the bursa, tendonitis, a kink in a tendon running over my knee, cartilage deterioration, and something wrong with the outer meniscus. I was scheduled for an MRI, which I wasn’t looking forward to. A few days before the MRI, I said to my daughter: “You know, I actually hope they won’t see anything special on the MRI, only that something was there, but that I’m otherwise healed.” And it happened just as I had spoken. The MRI only showed a bit of inflammation, explaining why my knee had been swollen at times recently. Beyond a little normal wear on my kneecap, everything else turned out to be fine! I still need to rest my knee for a while and get some physical therapy. The recovery is going well, and the diagnosis is much less severe than originally thought. There was suddenly no more mention of other inflammations, damaged meniscus, worn kneecap, kinked tendon over my knee, or cartilage loss! I feel deeply joyful inside, knowing that miracles do exist! I’ve also seen again that what you speak out loud has an influence on situations. And since medical science states that cells have memory, I now speak to my knees and remind them that they are healthy in Jesus’ name.”

Resist the devil

Let’s hear from Lutgart herself: “It was on a Monday that I twisted my ankle. I clearly heard a loud thud (not a crack, so I didn’t think anything was broken), but the pain was intense. I became extremely angry at the enemy. I immediately rebuked the pain in Jesus’ name, as well as the possible swelling that might occur. Once I got home, I called Hugo, our pastor, and he also prayed for me. By then, my ankle had turned red, felt a bit warm, and was slightly swollen. I was mostly angry because I strongly experienced this as an attack from the enemy. It was the third time in a row that something similar happened right before a weekend trip planned with my children. That coming Friday evening, we were supposed to leave for London. With every step I took, I declared that it was one step closer to my healing. On Monday, the pain was still intense; by Tuesday, it was already much better. The redness was still there, and my ankle remained warm to the touch. That continued until Thursday. Friday evening, we simply left. A few days before our departure, several weather apps were forecasting cold and rainy weather, but on the day of our trip, a little sun appeared! We were able to enjoy exceptionally beautiful weather for England. The English themselves even joked: “Look, there’s something yellow in the sky—we call that the sun in other countries… we’re not very familiar with it here.” Meanwhile, Belgium was being hit by one of the heaviest storms in years! There was a bit of wind; I once wanted to open an umbrella, but by then I could close it again—the rain had already passed! On Saturday we walked 12 kilometers, Sunday 10 kilometers, all without pain. When I got home, my foot was only slightly bruised and no longer swollen. Thank You, Jesus! Our return trip was also incredibly blessed. When we arrived at the station, there was a huge crowd, much more than usual. Several trains had been canceled due to a strike in France. Even if we could still leave, there would be at least a two-hour delay. I prayed silently and soon felt convinced that we would be able to leave. And indeed, with a two-hour delay, we were able to depart—and in a moment like that, you gladly accept the delay! Once again, I experienced how truly loving our Papa is, providing even in the smallest of details. Nothing is too small, too big, or too trivial for Him. Not only was my foot fine, but we also had great weather and a safe return journey! Thank You, Papa!”

Relieved from years of neck and head pain

We’ll let Lutgart speak for herself:

“For many years I suffered greatly from different types of headaches: migraines, neck pain that also caused severe headaches, and chronic sinusitis.
The first migraine attack started about 35 years ago, shortly after the birth of my daughter. From then on, the attacks became very frequent: usually once a week, an attack typically lasted 3 days, and sometimes it would start all over again the very next day.

During those attacks I had terrible headaches, pain medication didn’t help, I couldn’t tolerate light or sound, and I had to vomit… very unpleasant!
This went on for many years, and doctors had no answers either…
In 2006, I came into contact for the first time with God’s Embassy, where I was taught not only about physical healing but also about inner healing.
I had been a Christian for some time and believed that God healed… but that He wanted to do it for me?

And then the aspect of inner healing… I struggled enormously with my inner pain, but I was used to sweeping everything under the rug and pretending everything was fine, just pushing through…
‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come’ (2 Cor. 5:17)… I had learned that, but I didn’t understand or know that it was important to bring my inner pain to the Father and let Him heal it and comfort me…

I had never heard or thought of that before, and it took quite some time before I was ready to truly face it.
In the meantime, people regularly prayed for me, and I attended several Fatherheart schools where I got to know God as a Father more and more.
I didn’t experience instant healing—it was a slow healing process that took about two years, but now I am completely free from migraines!

The neck pain that also caused headaches—I still suffered from that…
Usually, the pain would come on at night in my neck, resulting in a severe headache. It was clearly not a migraine but still lasted about three days.
Then I had to sit upright, otherwise the pain only got worse…
very annoying, especially when you’re sick on top of the pain you already have… because then you really want to lie down.
That happened a few years ago when I participated in the fasting days organized by our church for the first time.
I hadn’t been there long when I became very ill: I had a fever, a cold, and a sinus infection. I sat upright for two nights because I simply couldn’t lie down due to the intense pain in my neck and head.

I left a bit early on the final day because I was so sick I couldn’t even drink tea… not a fun experience—headache and an empty stomach really don’t go well together…
I made up my mind: I would no longer take part in fasting days, this really wasn’t for me!
But then, at the end of last year, when the dates for the 2019 fasting days were announced, a quiet conviction grew in my heart to take part again…
Still, my bad previous experience weighed heavily on me…
I signed up with a nervous heart and went.

I needed time to prepare myself and kept struggling with the bad memories from last time… until I suddenly realized that I hadn’t had a single sinus infection since then… I had never thought of that before!
That gave me a bit of extra courage to go, but I still went with a heavy heart.
During the first night of the fasting days, I got neck and head pain…
I was able to attend the teaching, and in the evening there was a healing service where they also prayed for me. Afterward, I went to bed.
The next morning, the neck and head pain was still there, but it hadn’t gotten any worse.

Shortly after lunch, there was an opportunity to share a testimony about what you had experienced during the fasting days.
I felt it was right to share my testimony about the previous fasting days—especially the fact that I hadn’t had a sinus infection since.
After my testimony, Hugo asked if I was still in pain and prayed for me again—and a few hours later I was completely pain-free!
Previously it would always last three days, but now only a day and a half…
I was able to end the fasting days together with everyone else with a bread meal—but most of all with deep gratitude to my heavenly Papa… and now I have another testimony to share. I haven’t had any neck or head pain since!”

Total healing from epilepsy after persistent prayer

We’ll let Karina speak for herself:

“The Lord God has performed a great miracle in my life—something no doctor or pill could ever do. I wasn’t allowed to drive a car for seven years, for my own safety.
I had been taking antidepressants for quite some time and suddenly stopped due to migraine attacks. I should have tapered off the medication, but I didn’t.

After that, I started having blackouts or absences, a form of epilepsy where I would lose a few minutes of time without remembering anything. Driving became extremely dangerous. The doctors said these blackouts were caused by scar tissue in my brain, which I had as a result of a moped accident in 1984. It was a serious accident, and God helped me through that too. He always rescues me from deep valleys.

Many doctors told me I would never fully recover. For many years, I prayed and asked for prayer from my brothers and sisters—for which I’m thankful. Years went by, but I didn’t give up hope. I kept believing that the Lord would heal me. I read in His Word about the miracles Jesus did and still does.

Because in God’s Word it says, “Whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you” (John 16:23). I prayed: “Father, I ask You to heal me from my blackouts. I know and believe that nothing is impossible for You. If You take it away, it will never return and I will be able to drive again.”

I started praying based on God’s Word and asked Him for signs so I wouldn’t lose courage. I told God I would lay out my fleece, just like Gideon did, and asked Him to make it dry in the morning, but the grass wet. And that’s exactly what happened.
I asked for a white dove to sit on the wood in our garden at 3 o’clock in the afternoon—and it happened. The week after, I asked for the white dove to walk around in our garden—and it happened again.

In July 2018, I had to go back for a scan and an EEG was performed. The results of both tests were very good. The blackouts had been gone for almost a year by then, and on my way to the doctor to get permission to drive again, I prayed in tongues the entire way. And the doctor gave me permission to drive again!

The beautiful part of this story is that the white dove never returned. The white dove is gone—and so are my blackouts. All those years, I kept believing and trusting in the Lord that He would heal me, even though many people said I would never be healed.

Our Lord is a rock on which we can stand. His Word is the truth!”

Terminal lung patient revived after prayer

We’ll let Rita D. speak:

Patrick, 55 years old, father of my daughter-in-law Jessie, had been a lung patient for many years. On Thursday, August 24, 2017, he felt very unwell, had become faint, and was struggling to breathe.

The situation was so serious that an ambulance had to be called. On the way to the emergency room, his eyes started rolling back, and his body became stiff and cramped. By the time he arrived at the hospital, he was in a coma.

He turned out to have a CO2 level in his lungs almost four times higher than normal. In the ICU, he was immediately put on a ventilator.

The next day, they tried to wake him up, but he wasn’t able to breathe on his own. The doctors decided to keep him asleep and ventilated for three days. The following week, on Tuesday, they tried again to wake him up. At that moment, it turned out that he still couldn’t breathe independently because his lungs were too weak. They switched machines to see how much he could breathe on his own. It showed he was breathing 45% by himself, with the machine doing 55% of the work.

The doctors questioned whether it was still worth continuing treatment. Essentially, they were ready to give up on him, but my daughter-in-law wouldn’t hear of it, since she had lost her mother to leukemia three years earlier. She did everything possible to make sure they didn’t stop the treatment.

That week on Friday, I went to visit him. I had a moment alone with him after the children had stepped outside. Of course, I had already prayed a lot for his healing, and that day I laid hands on him and prayed with authority. I spoke life and healing over him out loud. Even though he wasn’t conscious, he nodded his head twice when I said: “Hold on, Patrick, because I want you to see your grandchild who’s on the way. We are praying for you, with many people in many places.” It was a special moment!

On Monday, September 4, the doctors were considering performing a tracheotomy if there was no improvement. His medication had already been significantly reduced, but they noticed that his muscles were very weak after 15 days in a coma. Even his diaphragm, which is essential for breathing, was extremely weak.

And then on September 7, Patrick suddenly began breathing on his own and woke up. He still needed some oxygen with a mask now and then, but by that Friday during visiting hours, he already wanted to talk again. Suddenly, there was a lot of improvement—even though the doctors had nearly given up on him.

On Wednesday, September 13, he sat upright in a chair in intensive care for the first time—again, a big step forward. Hallelujah, God was clearly at work here! Speaking came easily again. He still had a long road to recovery and is still undergoing rehabilitation, but in the meantime, he is driving again and has witnessed the birth of his grandson. The doctors are very pleased with his progress, and we are very thankful to God for his recovery!

My daily prayer for him was:

In my thoughts, I am with you.

I pray God’s strength for you,

His blessing over your life and

His loving care, day by day.

I bless you with His life and healing.

Thank You, LORD Jesus, for the life of Jessie’s dad!

Growing old in good health

This too is a testimony from Ann: One of the themes that lies close to our hearts as a church is growing old in good health. We believe that our heavenly Father always wants to heal us, but staying healthy goes even far beyond healing… and God’s Word has a lot to say about this topic too. One of my favorite verses from the Old Testament about this is what is written about Moses in Deuteronomy 34:7 when he went to the Father: “Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died; his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.” Medical science has now proven, after all these years, that the human body can last 120 years… but most of us only see and hear about decline and reduced functioning as people get older. Still, we believe that God didn’t intend it that way… The question is whether we also live according to that belief and hold on to it. Do we dare to think differently than the world, which only claims the opposite? One of the things many of us face is poor eyesight and the need for glasses. In the spring of 2018, I experienced that myself: I noticed my vision was getting worse, that I sometimes really had to focus to read, and even had trouble reading traffic signs on the road. Naturally, you start thinking about glasses… my father wears glasses, my mother wears glasses, my brother has glasses, and now my sister is also starting to have trouble… can I escape that? During our holiday at the seaside, it became very difficult and I had a lot of discomfort in my eyes… But my Bible says: “But that is not how you came to know Christ” (Ephesians 4:20), and that passage is clearly about how we think… and that’s where it all begins, right? So I decided to start thinking differently and to speak out that I would not wear glasses but that my eyes would be healed… I prayed for it a few times together with our team, but I also took a clear personal stand and received healing for my eyes in faith… and now I’ve noticed for some time that I can see perfectly again… and I plan to keep it that way until I’m 120. Thank You, Father, for Your Word, full of promises that You teach us to receive and hold on to! Spectacular recovery from severe gastrointestinal infection

On Saturday, November 3, we had another healing school in Belgium. Around 30 people attended that day to listen to teachings on “receiving and holding on to healing” and “an introduction to inner healing,” bringing hope and life to anyone struggling with physical or mental illness. Our God is a Redeemer, and there is no God besides Him. There is no life outside of Him—He gave us life, and He alone can truly renew and heal our lives. The lessons were given with great enthusiasm, and many people received new hope for themselves, their loved ones, and the people they are helping. When the afternoon was over, Ann noticed on her phone that her sister had sent a message earlier asking if Ann could give her a call. It was now 4:30 p.m., so Ann immediately called her back. Her sister answered but sounded very faint and told her she was lying in bed, very sick. She had been feeling extremely nauseous all night and day, had severe stomach pain and heavy diarrhea. She could barely drink anything and couldn’t eat at all. She felt so weak she could hardly stand and got dizzy when getting out of bed. She suspected it might be a Salmonella infection because she felt so ill. (Susi is a nurse herself.) On November 5, Ann’s mother would turn 85. The whole family planned to celebrate on Sunday, November 4, at Susi’s house—Ann’s sister. So, Susi had mainly called to let them know the party couldn’t be held at her home because she was too sick. It would be moved to their parents’ house. Their father had already picked up drinks and snacks, and the caterer had been informed to deliver to the new address. Of course, Ann couldn’t accept the idea of her sister not being at the party, so she immediately prayed with her over the phone. She commanded the nausea, pain, and diarrhea to leave and blessed her with health and appetite. She quickly gave her some advice about medication and food… and then her sister had to go back to bed because she was feeling faint again. After hanging up, Ann told Nadine what had happened. Together they prayed again and told God that they trusted He would take care of their family, especially since they had spent the day taking care of His family. That evening, Ann sent her sister another message to see how she was doing. She had taken something for the nausea and had managed to sip a little water, but she still felt miserable. Ann promised they would keep praying, and her sister thanked her… hoping she’d be healed by the next day. On Sunday after the church service, Ann saw a message on her phone from her sister saying she was feeling much better… Ann and Nadine drove to her parents’ house, and the first person they saw there was her sister—completely back on her feet! She said again that she had never felt as sick as the day before, but she was now able to spend the entire afternoon with the family and even enjoy a little food— including grandma’s birthday cake! Thank You, Father, for Your intervention, and thank You for taking care of our family!

Believing granddaughter lays hands on her grandmother twice, resulting in healing

In our church, we often talk about how many of us are first-generation Christians… but that’s not true for everyone! Monia is a third-generation Christian and, after completing high school, she spent the past year at a Bible school in the Netherlands because she had a desire to get to know God even more deeply.

There too—just like in our church, where she has been attending for many years together with her mother, brother, and grandparents—she was challenged to pray for the sick and believe that they would be healed.

Some time ago, Suzanne, her grandmother, shared a testimony in church that she had suffered from intense pain at the base of her left thumb—the joint where the thumb connects to the hand.

Certain movements, such as opening a door with a handle, were very painful. She had asked her granddaughter to pray for it, which she did immediately. To Suzanne’s surprise (how is it that we believe in healing and are still surprised when it happens?), the pain was completely gone the next day!

A little later, specifically at the end of August around Suzanne’s birthday, Harry and Suzanne went camping for a few days at the Zilvermeer in Mol with the grandchildren.
They’ve been doing this for years and still enjoy it tremendously!

At that time, Suzanne had severe pain in her left shoulder and could barely use it. Harry even had to help her get dressed and undressed. Suzanne vividly remembered how much she had suffered with her right shoulder in the past and dreaded going through the same thing again with the other one. So she asked Monia again for prayer. Monia laid hands on her, prayed for healing, and asked if the pain was gone—but it wasn’t. Suzanne went to bed in pain and even woke up during the night because of it, but the next morning the pain was completely gone and has not returned since… What a blessing it is when your grandchildren actively believe in a God who heals!

Healing of a paralyzed baby’s arm

In early July, we received two photos in our inbox of a 7-month-old baby. In one photo, she’s wearing a bib that says “God cares for you,” and in the other, she’s smiling with her little hands folded “in prayer”… At first glance, you’d think nothing was ever wrong with this baby — but that wasn’t the case… until our God healed her!

The email came from a praying aunt, whose name is known to the editorial team, and she wrote us the following:
“If you see the photos, you might remember the little baby with the paralyzed arm that we prayed for together.

I’m filled with joy to let you know that our little E. is doing so well, and we thank our Lord for this miracle. This week, my niece sent me this photo of the baby with her little hands folded — as if she’s thanking the Lord Jesus.

Her mother says she often ‘prays’ like that (as she calls it), with her hands folded, and I found it so beautiful that I had to share this photo with you.
E. was born on January 5 of this year with a paralyzed arm. The delivery wasn’t easy — it was almost a C-section — but her mother, my niece, who is also a midwife, ended up delivering naturally. The baby’s shoulder got stuck, which caused E.’s arm to become paralyzed. The doctors said they couldn’t guarantee it would ever fully recover. She did receive physiotherapy.
When I heard about it, I immediately began praying that the Lord would intervene, but the improvement was very slow.
When I attended a healing service with you on Good Friday, I shared the story with Hugo, and he prayed for E. After that, I quickly noticed improvement. Her shoulder and arm began to move, but her hand remained turned inward and couldn’t rotate outward.
When I came to another service a few weeks ago, I shared the update again with Hugo, and he immediately prayed for her hand.
Last week, I saw that E. rotated both arms and hands outward when I placed her teddy bear in her arms. I sometimes do hand exercises with her, and I can see she’s moving along with me.
I’m absolutely sure the Lord has healed her, and I’m so grateful for that.

GOD IS GREAT, AND WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR US IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD!”

What the testimony of Hugo's healing meant / means for our lives

In the fall of 1991, we met Hugo and Inger. One year earlier, on November 1, 1990, we had both consciously placed our lives in God’s hands. We were studying medicine together and had become good friends during our studies. We shared a student apartment, attended classes together, ate, went out, and studied together.

We also shared our faith journey. When we had to decide during our final year of medical school which path to take next, we were uncertain. We had both chosen to study medicine because we wanted to help people in need. Now we clearly see it was a calling, but back then we didn’t realize that. “Should we go abroad or stay in Belgium?” After six years of studying, we had no clue. We were also struggling with existential questions. “What happens after death?” Though we were believers and active in church, we had many questions about human suffering—questions our professors couldn’t answer, and often even denied.

At the beginning of our final year, we prayed a simple prayer together: “God, if You exist, we really want to get to know You and know which direction You want us to take.” A simple and sincere prayer that God answered just as clearly. To make a long story short: on November 1, 1990, we made a deep, conscious choice to live with God. Jesus had gone to the cross for us, to forgive our sins and bring us back home to our Heavenly Father. The beginning of a completely new life… Looking back now, it was the beginning of a true adventure that’s far from over.

God clearly led us to start a general medical practice together. Not an obvious step at the time, since there were still plenty of GPs. But God blessed our practice from the very beginning. Still, we knew from the start it would be temporary… although we had no idea what would come next.

During the first year of our practice, we met Hugo and Inger. They came to KU Leuven to testify about the miraculous healing of an incurable non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1988, two years prior.

Their testimony opened up an entirely new world to us: we came to know God as a Healer! As physicians, this was incredibly fascinating and challenging… “Could God still do today what no doctor in the world can?”

After that first meeting with Hugo and Inger, many others followed. Through their testimony and with their guidance, we discovered that God still performs miracles today. More than that: we came to understand that God, like every loving Father, wants all His children to be healthy and stay healthy. That’s one of the reasons He let His Son Jesus die on the cross. “By His wounds you have been healed,” it says in 1 Peter 2:24… This revelation became a treasure we were willing to give everything else for.

In the following years, we began applying this newly gained insight together with Hugo and Inger. We prayed for ourselves when we were sick, we prayed for others, and we continued to study what the Bible teaches on this subject.

The results exceeded all expectations. We experienced so much healing and freedom ourselves that, together with Hugo, Inger, and many others, we increasingly went out to share this “good news” with others. It became such a significant part of our lives that at one point, God asked us to lay down our general practice and begin working with Him in a new way. A specific calling for us—one we know doesn’t apply to every Christian doctor!

We are still doctors, but now we use our old and new knowledge to partner with Him in doing what only He can: giving people hope in hopeless situations and helping them come to know Him as their Healer—not just for their bodies but also for their souls.

He is our Creator, and who can care for us better and make us truly happy and whole than the One who lovingly designed us in our mother’s womb? Without Him, our lives lack true meaning or purpose—because it is He who gives us both.

It is a privilege to work with Him in this way as doctors… And it all began with the testimony of Hugo’s healing. Together with Hugo, Inger, and our entire church, we look forward to all that our Father still has in store for us!

Shoulder completely healed overnight after prayer

So here’s the story of the healing of Suzanne’s shoulder…
The functioning of Suzanne’s right shoulder had gradually declined over the years. Suzanne had noticed this and often had pain in her shoulder, but she tried to manage with various aids. For example, she would first pull the clothesline down with her left hand to hang up the laundry.

It kept getting worse, and eventually, Suzanne could hardly do anything with her right arm unless she kept it close to her body.

She could no longer comb her hair or even lift a pot of coffee. She no longer slept more than one hour at a time at night because she would wake up from the pain and had to change positions to fall back asleep.

When Jef, their daughter Sigrid’s second child, was about to be born, she had herself examined by several doctors because she wanted to be able to care for Monia, their other grandchild, and she could no longer lift her. After many tests, the final diagnosis was quite unpleasant. There had been a tendon stuck under a piece of bone, and because of that, it had poor circulation and had gradually died. So, recovery was no longer possible.

Suzanne would have to learn to live with it, and the doctors told her that the situation might improve a bit if other tendons and muscles took over the function of the dead tendon. The function of her arm was highly limited, and she woke up very often at night from the pain.

One Monday afternoon, a small group of people who needed healing gathered at Ann and Nadine’s home. Suzanne and Annick, their daughter, were also there. At the end, we prayed for all illnesses, and Hugo asked Suzanne what he could pray for. Suzanne told him about her shoulder, and Hugo prayed for healing.

Suzanne went home without seeing or feeling any results and simply went to bed that evening. The next morning, she woke up at 9 am and excitedly woke up Harry… “Harry, it’s already 9 o’clock…” “Yes, and so?” Harry asked… Suzanne had slept through the night for the first time in a long time without pain!!! She carefully tried to move her arm and with great joy, she realized that for the first time in years, her shoulder was functioning completely normally… It’s now 17 years later, and her shoulder still works perfectly!!!

Quick recovery after 2 nearly fatal pulmonary embolisms

On Sunday, March 18, Jean, Ria’s husband, could hardly stand on his legs anymore. Their daughter called an ambulance, and Jean was taken to the hospital in Mechelen. The diagnosis was pneumonia, and antibiotics were started. Jean was transferred to Duffel to be closer to Ria.

On Tuesday, March 20, around 4:00 PM, we received a call from Ria. She said that Jean was not doing well at all.

She had visited him around 3:00 PM, and he looked very unwell. The doctor told her that Jean had two blood clots in his left lung. He had struggled with this in the past. He had been treated in Mechelen, but in February, the specialist had reduced his blood thinners. In Duffel, they did not understand why they had been stopped!

Jean was in very bad condition. He could no longer speak, was receiving a lot of oxygen, and the doctor said they might need to transfer him to a specialized department in Leuven or Antwerp. It all looked really bad. Ann and Ria prayed together and spoke divine life over Jean. Ann also promised that they would pray for him with the intercessors that evening. To Ria’s great surprise, Jean called her at 5:00 PM and asked if she was still coming that evening. Ria went back to visit him and found a completely different man… he looked much better and was responsive again. Jean was no longer transferred to another hospital but after over a week in intensive care, he was moved to a regular room. He stayed there for another week, then he was transferred to the rehabilitation department. Two more weeks later, he was discharged from the hospital. The assistant said at his discharge that he had recovered very quickly. And Ria… she thanks God for a great miracle in a very short time!

Instant healing of a shoulder that was stuck

On Good Friday, March 30, we had a healing service at the Krekel. While praying for the sick, the first word of knowledge that Hugo received was a word of healing for shoulders. Harry had been experiencing pain in his right shoulder for months and could no longer raise his arm 90 degrees… let alone higher! He came forward, and Hugo prayed for him.

There was no immediate noticeable result, so Hugo prayed again… and from that point on, things started to improve gradually… about five minutes later, Harry was able to raise his arm back up to 180 degrees! Three weeks later, he was able to open and close the roof window in his house effortlessly, something he had not been able to do for months… when he shared the whole story again, Suzanne, Harry’s wife, said that the healing of her shoulder 17 years ago had been an even greater miracle…

Healed from poorly functioning heart valves

Arwie shared with us during our fasting days last week a beautiful testimony from our previous fasting days in 2017:

“Since I retired, I’ve been cycling a lot. I really enjoy it and always want to be the first everywhere. In September 2016, I noticed that I couldn’t keep up with my children… I was falling behind and got very tired very quickly. I went to the doctor, and they did a blood test.

The diagnosis was glandular fever (mononucleosis), but they also referred me to a cardiologist.

I had to do a stress test and had an echocardiogram. It turned out that two of my heart valves were only half closing. This explained my limited exercise capacity. I noticed it even when ice skating with my grandchildren!

During the fasting days in January 2017, I was prayed for healing. The Tuesday after the fasting days, I went ice skating again with my grandchildren. I immediately noticed that it went very well, super well, it was one of the best times ever… That’s when I knew something had happened during the fasting days!

In March 2017, I had to see the cardiologist again. During the echocardiogram, he found that those two heart valves were now closing perfectly… Now I can do everything I love again and enjoy it immensely!”

Years of pelvic pain disappears like snow in the sun

Unni shared the following testimony with us at the last Fatherheart School A:

After the birth of our fifth son, I suffered from severe pelvic instability. For years, I had a lot of pain from it and sometimes could hardly sleep at night. After the A school in Norway in August 2017, Mark and Olav prayed for me. I fell in the spirit and began to spontaneously praise the Father.

I felt myself getting heavier and heavier and could no longer get up. Eventually, Olav gave me a pillow and a blanket, and I stayed on the floor of our church the whole night. The Father showed me a vision of the Tree of Life, and I ate from it. Then I saw on my right the image of angels with swords, and I became aware that it was those angels who were guarding the Tree of Life so that people wouldn’t eat from it. Over that image, a large red cross appeared, and I knew that this meant that it no longer applied to me. I was allowed to eat as much as I wanted from the Tree of Life, and I did. Then I felt a heat flowing up and down through my pelvis and legs… and in the morning, when I got up, my pelvis was completely healed! Thank You, Father!!!

Total healing of the upper arm

Unni shared the following testimony with us at the last Fatherheart School A:

TOTAL HEALING OF THE UPPER ARM ONE AND A HALF YEARS AFTER THE REVELATION OF THE FATHER’S LOVE

A few years ago, my right upper arm was severely injured due to trauma. I could no longer sleep on my right side at night, could barely lift a cup with my right arm, and couldn’t raise my arm above my head. When the pain didn’t improve after a few months, an ultrasound of my upper arm was eventually done. The doctor told me that it seemed muscle and tendon tissue had been “eaten away” in my upper arm… I would have to learn to live with it.

However, two years ago, at the Fatherheart School in Vaalbeek, I was able to receive the revelation in my heart that the Father would heal me, simply because He loved me. I held on to that revelation and knew in my heart that it would happen, I just didn’t know when or how. Then, a year and a half later, a guest speaker came to our church, and after the sermon, I felt that I could go forward for prayer. That man simply prayed: “Fill her with Your love, Father…” That evening, my right arm was completely healed, and I can now use it perfectly without pain! He healed me, simply because He loves me!

Healed from diabetes

We received the following email from Paulien in the Netherlands: “At the conference at the Siloam last summer, Ann prayed for me and laid hands on me regarding the recently diagnosed diabetes. I followed quite a strict diet for three months, which certainly helped, but my blood sugar levels dropped from 7 to 5.9 within three months. I didn’t use any medication.

According to the guidelines, there is no diabetes anymore. It is all the more remarkable that this happened because the doctors hadn’t expected this from just diet. I belong to the group without overweight, and in those cases, they often don’t see improvement after a diet. I was told that I would probably never get rid of it because without overweight, it is often genetic. I see God’s hand in this. THANK GOD!”

Fasting days while continuing to work

Ignace recently shared this with us via email: “Just a quick note about the fasting days in Cornimont earlier this year. I am still encouraged by the spiritual impulse that you (Ann) received at the end of the testimony service on Saturday afternoon, January 28. I was the last to come forward. Then you passed on a word from the Lord to me. I feel that there has been a clear improvement in my health and overall condition. Thank you for your boldness in the Lord, which has meant so much to me up to this day.

The Lord has built up my faith, hope, and vision during the three days in Cornimont, and you, as a team of God’s Embassy, played a special role in this.”

Heart issues unexpectedly much better

We’ll let Jos, a retired doctor, speak for himself: “I used to be an avid cyclist. If you want to participate in cycling and keep up, you have to train just as hard as the better ones… Once you’re past fifty, the competitive aspect fades, but I kept training as if my life and income depended on it… Not ideal, of course!

For years, I’ve been suffering from one of the feared consequences of that hours-long training against heavy physical strain: atrial fibrillation of the heart.

For those unfamiliar: the heart consists of atria and ventricles. The atria contract first and ensure the proper filling of the ventricles, which then contract slightly later and pump the blood with sufficient force. The heart is thus a perfect two-stage pump. It’s clear that the atria play a crucial role in the heart rhythm. They provide the first impulse. The atria are weaker because their load is much smaller, but through endurance sports (which cycling is an excellent example of), the atria are abnormally stressed. As a result, their walls stretch, and they lose their normal rhythm and fibrillate (vibrate instead of contracting). This leads to the ventricles contracting at a strongly varying speed, in unpredictable ways. This feels very uncomfortable and has serious consequences for heart function. It can result in blood clots in the heart, which, of course, come with risks.

Because Eddy Merckx shared a few years ago through his doctor that he was being treated for this, I now call this condition the “Eddy Merckx disease.” I suffer from this disease too, but with an efficient treatment (ablation) three years ago, I was much better.

I’m now over 70 and had the crazy thought this year to climb the Stelvio, with its 2758 meters, the highest mountain pass in Italy, which is usually part of the queen stage of the Giro, for the second time. This year, it happened on June 24, and by chance, we had planned our vacation in Italy until the 21st, a country where I’m not really at home.

After an intense preparation that went smoothly, two days before my departure to Italy, atrial fibrillation unexpectedly returned. As mentioned, I hadn’t had it for about three years. Normally, these episodes pass after a few hours, but this time it didn’t go away. No matter what I did, which medications I took, nothing helped. After consulting with my cardiologist, I foolishly decided to do the climb with atrial fibrillation. It was a horrible experience: I had no strength, no breath, and recovered extremely poorly, but I made it.

Afterward, we went straight home, and I went to the cardiologist on Monday. I was given another medication for the arrhythmia. However, it clearly had more side effects. The cardiologist didn’t really expect that this would resolve my issue because the fibrillation had been ongoing for so long. He immediately suggested the last resort: treating the fibrillation under anesthesia with the shock of a defibrillator, which is also used for cardiac arrest. If the treatment failed, my heart would continue to beat irregularly, with all the limitations and medical treatments required to prevent clot formation in the bloodstream. It would be a serious disability! The treatment was scheduled for the Tuesday of the following week.

Once I could attend the church, I consulted with Ann, and we prayed for complete healing. We can ask for that, right? I was told that others had been praying intensely for me, for which I am infinitely grateful.

What I didn’t know was that the Lord had already been working on my healing beforehand. I had a regular heartbeat starting Friday before that Sunday meeting. Medically, this could be explained by the other medication I was taking, but it wasn’t expected… otherwise, the cardiologist wouldn’t have scheduled an intervention. We couldn’t confirm it through an EKG, but it was true, and something that only became clear later: my heart had already had the regular rhythm needed for the treatment by the following Tuesday.

So last Tuesday, I went to the hospital for the electroshock, but it wasn’t necessary anymore because my rhythm was regular, pointing to the normal functioning of the atria. There was more: my blood pressure was normal again, and thanks to the rest of the previous days, the volume of the atria was nearly normal again… And this meant that the special treatment to prevent future arrhythmia attacks (ablation) could probably be repeated, but during the last check-up, the cardiologist said there was no reason to do so… complete healing, therefore… because that’s what we prayed for!

As doctors, we’ve never heard that once-stretched atria can shrink again…

I think we can clearly call this a miraculous intervention. God is great, and He is infinitely good… Remember: Psalm 23: The Lord is our Shepherd (I put it in the plural)! AMEN!”

A precious healing

Dora shared the following testimony with us: “Recently, Ann spoke about the power of blessing. At the end of a conversation we had, she asked me if she could bless my hands. I’ve been suffering for several years from a painful form of progressive erosive osteoarthritis in my hands, which significantly affects the mobility of my finger joints. She told me about a testimony she had just re-read about a Catholic Canadian woman who had a long-standing, advanced form of debilitating rheumatoid arthritis.

That woman had received complete healing of her deformed hands and body while she was asleep in a Protestant bus on her way to a healing service by Kathryn Kuhlman. This is a testimony that encourages me greatly for several reasons. The story of this healing reminded me of a particular restoration of the mobility of two fingers in my left hand. A few years ago, when I had just come to faith and so much was still new and unfamiliar to me, a few weeks before my baptism, Jan Sjoerd Pasterkamp spoke in our church. In his sermon, he talked about the many powerful healings he had witnessed during his missionary work. At the end of his sermon, he prayed for several people. He prayed for people with back pain and other conditions he mentioned, when he suddenly said that God had placed it on his heart to pray for someone who had an issue with a finger. There was something with that finger, but he didn’t know what. My attention was immediately drawn to this.

Could it be that this was specifically for me? Surely there must be someone else in the church whom this applied to. How could he know that years earlier, I had had an accident with my left hand’s pinky and ring finger? While trimming some bushes in our garden, I accidentally cut off the top of my pinky with an electric hedge trimmer, and my ring finger was also affected. With plastic surgery, everything was restored using skin from my groin and forearm, but my fingers became very stiff. Even after intensive physical therapy, they couldn’t bend further than halfway, so I couldn’t close my left hand fully anymore. No one in the church responded, and Jan Sjoerd repeated that he would pray for someone with a finger issue. At that moment, I closed my left hand and noticed that both my pinky and ring finger could fully bend. I could hardly believe that God had done such a miracle for me. The following hours and days, for a long time afterward, I did nothing but check if my hand would still close.

It’s a healing that I treasure very much, because it encourages me every time through a small movement of my hand and reminds me that God is always there for me. And I can also expect the further healing of my hands from Him, because His life is healing for the whole body for those who find Him and stay close to Him!”

Diagnosis changes and pain drastically reduces

Monique from the Netherlands sent us the following testimony: “Two weeks ago, I placed a prayer request for my mother in your prayer box. I only mentioned that she had hip problems. I didn’t mention the diagnosis that was given: bursitis in the hip. Now, over the past two weeks, she has ‘coincidentally’ been treated by a replacement doctor, who referred her to physiotherapy.

My mother wanted a female therapist. The physiotherapist she saw gave a different diagnosis: sciatica. She started massaging, which was painful, but there has been improvement over the past week. Before, my mother was in a lot of pain, but it’s much better now. The heavy pain medication she received by prescription last week, she’s now going to return to the pharmacy because she says she no longer needs it. The pain she still has is bearable. She had been suffering for over three months and was walking and sleeping poorly because of the pain. What a wonderful result in a short period of time. And I believe in further healing!

I told my mother that I had placed a prayer request in your box. She usually just brushes it off when I say that, but I know that she stores it somewhere inside. She knows that God heals because she was once saved from death by a miracle!”

More miraculous healings in old age

Dora sent us the following testimonies:

“Earlier this year, my father fell twice in quick succession at his home, without being able to remember what exactly happened. The doctor suspected a mild TIA (transient ischemic attack, a brief interruption of blood flow to the brain). The blood test showed alarming elevated thrombosis levels. He was urgently admitted to Gasthuisberg.

The diagnosis was pneumonia, four stomach ulcers, and a fourth-degree esophagitis. Antibiotics were started. Initially, my dad seemed to be recovering slowly, but he continued to complain of an unexplained headache. We were forced to celebrate his 91st birthday in the hospital.

For further recovery, he was transferred to Pellenberg in early February. He still wanted to go back to his house and was willing to work hard to get there. Although things seemed to be improving at first, he suddenly developed a fever again. A new pneumonia was diagnosed. Two new courses of antibiotics were tried but didn’t work. The fever continued to rise.

One Saturday afternoon at the end of February, a doctor met me with the message that they were going to isolate my father. Based on the x-ray of his affected lungs, they suspected tuberculosis, and they had to rule out whether it was contagious. That was completely unexpected news, and none of us really knew what to think. A phone call to Ann that evening brought peace; we didn’t need to worry and needed to keep trusting. After a week, the diagnosis was confirmed: tuberculosis in the blood, not contagious, but deadly if untreated. There was only one option: to choose the heavy TB treatment (similar to chemotherapy) that needs to be followed for at least 6 to 9 months, and which offers little perspective for someone of his age. I told Ann, and she gave me a prayer card, “You Lord, are my healer”.

My father was transferred back to Gasthuisberg, and the treatment was started. The disease took a hard toll, and the side effects of the treatment were particularly severe. He was taking up to 22 pills a day. His condition deteriorated visibly. He could only take a few steps and was on oxygen 24 hours a day. He was only sat up in a chair for one hour a day, became more and more confused, was incontinent, and eating became increasingly difficult. There was little hope for improvement. We continued visiting him every day, and in the evenings, I would pray the title of the prayer card with him; he would answer, “Who else should I expect it from?”. After three weeks, blood tests showed signs of slight improvement.

For the hospital, my father’s condition had stabilized enough, and he had to leave. The search for a nursing home was urgent, not an easy task these days. I decided to place it in the prayer box. The hospital’s social worker contacted the WZC Ter Vlierbeke. This nursing home was our preference since it was close to where he and we lived. There were 300 people on the waiting list, so direct placement there was not possible.

We were referred to the WZC in Wilsele. There, he was placed among the “first three” on the waiting list (those with the highest Katz score or the most care needs come to the top). There was a chance of a quick admission, but the social worker asked for a clear commitment from us. It had to be a final decision, and the intention was not to change nursing homes afterward. We decided to be honest and told them about our preference for Ter Vlierbeke in our area, but also about the long waiting list. She promised to contact her colleague at Ter Vlierbeke herself.

A few days later, we were invited for a conversation at WZC Ter Vlierbeke, and his placement request was approved. A week and a half later, he was transferred there. A great miracle, and we were thrilled to have him back in our neighborhood!

However, the adjustment at Ter Vlierbeke didn’t go smoothly for my dad. He became even more confused due to the move, his incontinence worsened, and he fell out of bed three times. Moreover, communication with him became increasingly difficult, and he had to switch to mashed food. We could no longer pray together. His physical condition gradually improved, though.

Ann suggested visiting my dad. He was very alert that day. She briefly told him about Psalm 92 and the promise he too could look forward to: “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree, they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.” This immediately gave him the strength to get up and go for a walk…

My father continued to recover well. Walking in the adjacent park is now easy with the walker, and he is eating well again (the caregiver told us that he eats up to 5 sandwiches per meal without problems). Moreover, he is no longer incontinent! The confusion still occurs occasionally, but we see improvement here as well. On Pentecost, my dad, my sister, and I were happily playing a game of Rummikub in the cafeteria. A moment of deep joy. Afterward, my sister went to get fries for him at the local fair. He enjoyed them!

At the end of May, we suddenly received word on Friday night from the nursing home that they had found him on the floor. He was immediately transferred to the emergency room at Gasthuisberg. He couldn’t remember what had happened. His blood oxygen saturation was too low. The administration of oxygen immediately helped, and all tests were reassuring.

On Saturday morning, we were called to say he had had a mild heart attack during the night. They wanted to perform a catheterization. It was a tense weekend in the ER, but ultimately they decided not to go ahead with it. Given his age and weakened condition due to TB, the risks were considered too high. He was transferred to the cardiac intensive care unit.

On Monday evening, they wanted to transfer him to another department. I pleaded with them not to do so to avoid confusion. When I asked why he needed to be moved, they said they urgently needed the room, and that he was the best patient on the floor! On Tuesday, he was transferred back to the nursing home, where he could continue his recovery. The medication for his TB was halved. He is doing well again. God continues to faithfully care for my father, and we are thankful for many more beautiful days together.

I also have a beautiful testimony about my mother-in-law. After a fall in the nursing home at night, she had a large open wound on her leg. It became so infected that she eventually needed surgery. The dermatologist said there was a high chance of amputation, and the whole family assumed this. I placed it in the prayer box and prayed Isaiah 58:8: “Your healing shall spring forth speedily.” I had to pray this prayer for a long time, from December to Easter, but eventually, you can’t see any trace of it now…God is good, He is true, in Him is no injustice!!!

Healed vocal cords through our prayer box

We received the following testimony from Isabelle via email:

“Hello dear people,

A while ago, I asked for prayer for the healing of my vocal cords. They weren’t closing properly, so I had been hoarse for a long time and could no longer sing. I would like to let you know that they are fully restored. Actually, it happened after a month, but I kept forgetting to inform you and thank you for your prayers.
Every time during worship at church, I thought about it while singing, but once I was home, I forgot again. Still, I find it important to encourage you further and let you know that prayer really helps.

Here’s my story:

In September 2015, I suddenly became hoarse, which was very unusual for me. I’ve been in education for years and have never had voice problems. I am a kindergarten teacher and sing a lot in the classroom, which I enjoy very much! This time, however, I was quite tired, and we had a stressful month of September. The hoarseness didn’t go away. I tried a few kitchen remedies, but nothing changed. What bothered me the most was that I could no longer sing. During church services, the time of worship is really important to me. It’s the way I truly connect with God. But since I was always confronted with the hoarseness and not being able to sing, my concern grew instead of drawing me closer to God.

After a month, I started to really worry. Friends encouraged me to go to the doctor for an examination because everyone knew someone who had had cancer… I made an appointment with my GP. He seemed quite concerned and wanted me to see a specialist within the week. That was the day when I started to panic!!
Together with my husband, I went that day to the ENT specialist for an examination. He did a laryngoscopy (examination of the larynx) and saw that my vocal cords weren’t closing completely, which meant I couldn’t reach certain notes. Fortunately, there was no sign of throat cancer. What a relief! He said that there wasn’t much I could do about it. There was no medication for it. He couldn’t find a real cause. Maybe it would go away on its own, but if not, I would need speech therapy for using my voice. He also recommended going to an osteopath to release the muscles in my neck. Knowing that I still had many years ahead in the classroom, I did feel somewhat concerned about it.

The same day of the examination, the Elim weekend of our church began. The speaker was Hugo Van Leemputten and his wife Inger. It was about praying for healing. During that weekend, I thought, “Oh no, now it’s going to be about cancer and such, and I’ve just been so afraid of getting that kind of diagnosis.” On the other hand, I could vividly imagine what it would mean to receive such a diagnosis and how rebellious I would react. Even though I hadn’t received the diagnosis, the fear lingered. During the Elim weekend by the sea, there was definitely space to receive prayer for healing, but for some reason, I didn’t dare to ask for it, even when we were sitting at the table with Hugo and Inger. I thought to myself: “What am I complaining about? I don’t have cancer! I am the lucky one!!”

After the weekend, the hoarseness persisted. The fear of cancer also remained. The following Sunday service, I thought: “Maybe I should just send an email asking for prayer for healing.” So, I did, and after a month, my voice began to improve, and everything has returned to normal. I can sing again without any issues and don’t need speech therapy.
The fear of getting cancer has also significantly decreased.
I am incredibly grateful for your prayers. Prayer accomplishes much, and far too often, we forget that!

Shoulder completely healed through prayer

We received this testimony from Mai, and we’ll let her speak for herself: “In September 2014, just two days before we were about to go on vacation, I fell down the stairs at home. I got up and was able to move everything just fine… thank You, Jesus, for Your protection! While on vacation, I didn’t experience any problems at all. In October, one evening, I started feeling some pain in my right shoulder. I thought I had maybe lifted our grandson, Lucas, a bit too much that day. But the pain persisted, so I went to see our family doctor. He suspected there was some inflammation in my shoulder joint, likely as a result of the fall in September.

An X-ray and ultrasound of the shoulder confirmed the inflammation. I was prescribed anti-inflammatory medication, but there was no improvement.

At the beginning of January 2015, I went back to the doctor. This time, I received a cortisone injection. Two weeks later, however, my arm and shoulder became swollen, painful, and red, so the doctor prescribed antibiotics. I thought this would finally help, but it didn’t… on the contrary! By the end of January, I was in so much pain that I could hardly sleep at night. Jef called the doctor, and he sent us straight to the emergency room. New scans clearly showed a large abscess full of pus in the shoulder joint. I was immediately taken into surgery to flush the joint and received antibiotics through an IV. The doctor told me I had arrived just in time — any later, and the infection would have reached the bone, causing blood poisoning. I ended up staying in the hospital for three weeks. Throughout it all, I remained very calm because I knew that our Heavenly Father was with me! Two weeks later, I had to go back for a check-up. My blood values had risen again, and I was readmitted for intravenous antibiotics and another flushing of the shoulder. I didn’t understand any of it, but I held on to the scripture from Romans 8: ‘Nothing can separate us from the love of God.’”

It turned out that my shoulder had dislocated. The doctor couldn’t understand why I wasn’t in even more pain… all my ligaments were stretched, and a tendon had torn. The tendon could be reattached, but that would require five months of rehabilitation. I really didn’t want to go through that. Another option was to get a completely new shoulder joint with a new surgical method. I didn’t feel good about that either. The third option was to wait and hope that the other tendons would take over the function of the torn one. That’s what I chose — but I didn’t just wait… I also prayed, because we serve a God who heals! Now, almost a year later, I can do everything with my arm and shoulder without the slightest bit of pain. And I can only say: ‘Thank You, Jesus, because our God completes His work!’”

Fifteen years of hardship and sorrow lifted like the morning mist, and the sun broke through in my life

We received the following testimony from Anne, who came to us in utter despair. We’ll let her share her story in her own words:

“Since the birth of my children, I noticed that my emotional state kept deteriorating year after year. Looking back now, I realize that I experienced postpartum depression each time, but at the time, I had never even heard of it.

As a mother, you spend your entire day caring for the well-being of your children, often completely neglecting yourself — and that takes its toll. My life felt like a constant race against the clock to get everything done. Every night I would collapse into bed, completely exhausted, feeling like I had achieved very little throughout the day. The endless responsibilities of caring for the children, keeping up the house, the garden, cooking, shopping, and so much more… it all became too much for me.

On top of that, I’m a perfectionist, and I never felt anything I did was good enough. For 15 long years, I felt deeply weighed down. Even in the company of friends and family, I could barely hold myself together. I often had to fight back tears, and in conversations, it was always me making the bleakest comments. I was painfully aware that this situation was harmful to my children’s development. They deserved a joyful mother who would be patient and loving with them.

I sought help from a psychiatrist, who prescribed me an antidepressant. But because I couldn’t tolerate the unpleasant side effects, I went back to him for a different medication. Finding the right antidepressant for me took many years. Every new medication I tried came with troublesome side effects. Some made me feel sluggish and numb — to the point that I stopped caring about anything. Others caused uncontrollable eating, making it impossible to maintain a healthy weight. I gained weight rapidly. Another pill caused severe muscle pain. Yet another led to memory problems. Eventually, I realized this psychiatrist could string me along for much longer, but he had no real solution to offer.

In desperation, I turned to a psychologist. But this proved to be extremely time-consuming, and after countless hours of therapy, I was no closer to a solution! Apparently, I had found the wrong practitioners. So I tried switching to a different psychiatrist and psychologist, but they too could not provide the answers I so desperately needed.

I spent handfuls of money and countless hours seeking treatment for my depression! And the worst part was, none of it helped. In fact, things only got worse. The whole situation left me utterly hopeless. I believed I had to look for a scientifically proven solution to my depression, but it turned out that the answer lay far beyond science!

At a certain point, my patience was completely exhausted. I couldn’t take it anymore! I wanted to be free from this depression — and fast — but how? As a last resort, I decided to reach out to the team at Gods Ambassade. On Monday, September 7, 2015, I was welcomed in. I shared my story, and they prayed with me. Honestly, that was all there was to it. In the days that followed, I listened to three CDs that explained how, through faith, we can gain new insights.

And then a miracle happened… I simply have no other words for it. Fifteen years of hardship and sorrow lifted like the morning mist, and the sun broke through in my life. Since that moment, I have felt strong, courageous, and joyful every single day. Life now feels like a sunflower that has finally found its way back to the sun. It truly feels like a glorious liberation! I now face life from a completely different perspective, and every day feels like a gift from heaven!”

Severe pain disappears like snow in the sun

On Sunday evening, September 6, Maria Calant experienced severe pain in her stomach area. She had previously suffered from stomach ulcers and immediately suspected the same issue. That night, she barely slept because of the pain, and Monday was no better. She couldn’t eat at all that day. After a second sleepless night, she called her daughter Nadine at six in the morning. Nadine suggested taking her to the emergency room.

While they were in the car, just pulling out of the driveway, Maria felt so unwell that Nadine brought her back inside and called an ambulance. Maria was nearly passing out from the pain, and the paramedic had to do everything to keep her conscious. Because the pain was so intense, they also called in the mobile emergency doctor (MUG) — since this kind of pain can be a symptom of a heart attack, the paramedic didn’t want to take any chances. Thankfully, the emergency doctor confirmed that Maria’s heart was fine, and she was taken to the hospital in Bonheiden.

There, she underwent extensive tests to find the cause of the pain: a gastroscopy, blood tests, ultrasounds… but no diagnosis was found! Despite receiving painkillers through an IV, the severe pain persisted, and another sleepless night followed. “All I wanted was to tear my room apart,” Maria said, “that’s how bad the pain was.” She prayed in tongues all night long — for herself and for a few other sick people.

On Wednesday afternoon, Inger called her and prayed with her. From that moment on, things gradually improved… Around 4:30 p.m., Theo remarked that he could see Maria was getting better, and she confirmed it. That very same evening, the pain completely disappeared!

When the doctor came by on Thursday and asked how she was doing, Maria could only say that she felt no more pain… and she was allowed to go home. Maria asked the doctor what the cause of the pain had been, but he concluded with: “Madam, we’re not going to guess. We simply don’t know!”

Maria also shared with us that this was the first time during a hospital stay that she had not been angry with God. Maria has spent many times in the hospital, and in the past, she always wrestled with God about it… but this time, she was certain that this did not come from Him, and that she could take refuge in Him until the storm had passed. And that, she said, is the best position to receive healing!

God performs miracles continuously, often even without us knowing

We received this message from Dora after the community day and the themed evening about psychosomatics:

“Over the past few weeks, God has been showing me so much all at once that it feels like I can hardly process it all. It was such a blessing to be able to attend last Sunday. The Church is the only hope for a world in need — we pray and sing this so often. And the 21st anniversary of Gods Ambassade is truly a wonderful example of that!

Thank You, Jesus, for giving me the opportunity to come to this church!

After a sermon like the one last night (about psychosomatics), I find myself deeply moved once again. I recognize so many of the mentioned illness patterns — not only within my family but also still within myself and the people around me…

You mentioned skin rashes yesterday as a typical example. Do you remember, Ann, how much I struggled with that when I first came to see you? At one point, I was even admitted to the emergency room because of a severe rash. Up until then, I had always used Nivea cream, but suddenly, I became allergic to it! I had to switch to a much more expensive product from Widmer (three times the cost). Last Saturday, while shopping with my husband, I mentioned to him that I hadn’t had any trouble with the rash for quite some time. He suggested that I try the Nivea cream again. And sure enough: I’m now using the Nivea face cream again without any problems!

I thought about this last night as I was driving home, feeling a bit discouraged. Skin rash was one of the problems I had, in hopeful faith, placed in the prayer box at the front of the church. That big black box where we can entrust so many of our worries to Jesus stands right next to the white seed box, which continues to bring me results and solutions time and time again. Just like now, with this example — not only physically, but even financially!

Thank You, Father!”

Dora also reminded us of another miracle that happened at the beginning of her journey of faith… and we would love to share that as well:

“At that time, I wasn’t attending church yet. You might remember that when I had breast cancer, I was deeply afraid and utterly exhausted (severely depressed). The treatment plan they proposed — chemotherapy, radiation, additional boosts to the armpit area, and five years of hormone therapy — felt unbearable to me. That’s when I came to speak with you.

My husband had requested my medical file from Gasthuisberg and submitted it for a second opinion at the UZ hospital in Jette. There, they pointed out that the report from Gasthuisberg mentioned the possibility of an additional test to determine the tumor’s cell division rate (as the tumor had already spread to the lymph nodes in the armpit). Since I had reported feeling a lump two years earlier, there was a chance it could be a slow-growing tumor. In that case, the VUB hospital said they might consider an alternative treatment without chemotherapy. Gasthuisberg, however, typically opted for the full treatment plan, and this particular test was not performed due to its high cost. Thankfully, the oncologist at VUB personally knew the doctor at Gasthuisberg and asked on our behalf if they would still perform the test. This was scheduled to happen during the same week I came to see you for a second conversation.

If I remember correctly, I had an appointment with you on Thursday afternoon (it might have been Friday), and the placement of the port catheter for chemotherapy had already been scheduled for the following Monday. I had read the New Testament of The Book you had given me at our first meeting, and I so deeply wanted to give my life to Jesus. Before we began, you briefly asked about the results of the test I had mentioned earlier. But at that moment, the results weren’t in yet, as the staining process for the test kept failing. You told me you weren’t surprised, because sometimes God has other ways and is waiting for us. I remember not fully understanding what you meant, but when I returned home, filled with Jesus, my husband had just received a call from the hospital. The test had finally succeeded, and it showed an extremely low score — well below the reference value. Even the oncologists at Gasthuisberg assured me that chemotherapy was no longer necessary. For me, JESUS healed me of breast cancer at the very moment I gave my life to Him, and I have never doubted that for a second since. Yes, I truly felt like I was in Heaven!”

Grateful for the power of prayer

We received this testimony from Dominique Vandelannoote, a member of the evangelical church in Leuven, via Annie. She prayed for him and regularly placed him in our prayer box as well:

“In March 2014, I was diagnosed with rectal cancer (cancer in the final section of the large intestine).

Because the tumor was located very low, close to the sphincter muscle, the doctor suggested removing everything. That would mean living with a stoma for the rest of my life. I was deeply unsettled. Was there really no other option?

A consultation with a surgeon in Tienen led me to Gasthuisberg hospital, where their expertise might make it possible to preserve the sphincter. Meanwhile, the prayer circle in Tienen, the entire evangelical church in Leuven, and many other brothers and sisters had already heard about my health situation… honestly, I still don’t know how the news spread so quickly!

At the university hospital in Leuven, I spoke with the oncology professor. Was it possible to save the sphincter muscle? She called the surgery department, and at my next appointment, I was thoroughly examined. The surgeon reviewed all the digital images. “It’s possible,” he said. What a relief! A sphincter-preserving surgery was an option.

What followed was a month of radiotherapy with chemotherapy, and in August 2014, the surgery was performed. The tumor was removed, and a temporary stoma was placed on the small intestine. Everything went well, and after a week, I was allowed to go home. Shortly afterward, I began twelve sessions of chemotherapy. Each session lasted about four hours and took place every two weeks for six months. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, my energy was completely drained. I rested on the couch and was quickly exhausted — even climbing the stairs left me breathless.

I am so grateful that we were able to attend the evangelical church every Sunday. I didn’t miss a single Sunday service. It’s amazing how God provided for me in this! And not only did I attend, I was even able to enjoy the services to the fullest… unbelievable. I was also scheduled to lead several services and preach — and everything went perfectly!

At Easter 2015, I was hospitalized again. This time, the stoma on my small intestine was removed. After a few days, I returned home, but my bowel movements were far from normal. I had no control at all. Diapers or pads became my second underwear (hmm), and the bathroom my second home (hmm). The surgeons said it would improve after a few months, but three months later, nothing had changed.

We prayed again, and after four months, something miraculous happened: from one day to the next, I had no more incontinence. For four days in a row, everything functioned normally! For me, this was a great miracle. Now, I occasionally have a day that’s not perfect, but it’s nothing like it was before. I am extremely grateful for this turnaround. I thank God and everyone who prayed for my health. To Him be all the glory!!!

Prayer is a miraculous remedy that God has given us. When I heard I had cancer, neither my wife nor I were shaken. At no point did we feel restless or anxious. That is the power of prayer! We were carried on wings! His Word is truth. Whoever trusts in His Word will never be put to shame! The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. God has given us this and so many other Bible verses for our encouragement.

The year 2014 was, physically, the hardest year of my life, but spiritually, it was a high point! How deeply I experienced His presence! How much my faith has grown! How much I have experienced the power of the prayers of my brothers and sisters. What a loving Lord we serve!”

We also received a beautiful email from Antoinette Jablonski with a testimony about the power of prayer:

“I have experienced something wonderful again, but I can hardly believe it. I had told you that I needed to pray for my nephew, just as Job prayed for his friends and his own situation turned around… and what happened? His wife was rushed to the hospital three weeks ago with a severe heart condition. She went through just about everything imaginable in cardiology — she was even resuscitated, and the specialist said it had been extremely serious! Now she’s back home and moving around like normal… she’s 80 years old. She could have died, but she is alive!

And something else remarkable happened: one of her daughters had completely cut ties with her, and she hadn’t seen her grandchildren anymore. But now, everyone was so shaken by her hospitalization that the doctor offered to mediate between them, and she accepted… this would have been impossible before! It really feels like God is saying this is His answer to my prayers…”

Given up by the doctors in Belgium, but never by GOD!

I have an acquaintance who was given up for dead. She is 43 years old and had a cluster of blood vessels in her brainstem that had already bled twice. As a result, she was partially paralyzed on one side and almost completely blind in one eye. No doctor in Belgium dared to operate on her. I had been praying for her for a long time. After several months, I went to visit her again. When she opened the door, I could hardly believe my eyes:

she was walking perfectly on her own, no more walking frame in sight! She’s a real fighter and had been working hard to train her body with the help of physical therapists. And she had found a surgeon in Sweden who was willing to operate on her. He even gave her a 90% chance of survival.

Only her right arm remained paralyzed. I asked if I could pray for her and spoke life into her right arm. After the prayer, I asked if she felt anything. She looked at her arm, visibly surprised, and said: “But this can’t be, my arm is getting warm and red, and it’s tingling — I can feel life returning to it!”

Two days later, she left by train for Sweden for the operation. She wasn’t allowed to fly because a third bleed would have been fatal. She is still in Sweden, but I’ve heard the operation went well!

Blind aunt accepts Jesus and receives faith for healing!

My German aunt is 93 years old and has been blind for the past five years. A few months ago, I prayed for her over the phone, and at that moment, she accepted Jesus into her heart.

During a family gathering, I asked if I could pray for her in a separate room. I invited my father to join us. I prayed for her in Dutch because my German isn’t fluent. So she didn’t understand a word of the prayer.

Because of her blindness, she sees very strange things: moving giraffes, rhinos, constantly swirling vines, and sand continuously falling from top to bottom. After the prayer, she said she could see my blouse and described what it looked like.

The moving animals and green vines had already disappeared after my previous prayer over the phone, but the images of the falling sand were still there. I will continue to pray.

After the prayer, she repeatedly said, with tears in her eyes: “I believe that I will be able to see, I believe it!”

During the prayer, my father suddenly began to weep deeply — he was touched by the Lord. The next day, he called me and said that for the first time in years, he had slept through the entire night. Usually, he lies awake all night, only managing to catch a few minutes of sleep here and there. I had only prayed for my aunt, but my father also received healing. How extraordinary!

Sister-in-law with severe abdominal pain is healed instantly

“A few months ago, my sister-in-law called me. She was crying because of severe pain in her abdomen. She said it hurt as much as if she were in labor. I asked if I could pray for her. After the prayer, it was completely silent on the other end of the line. I asked if something had happened in her body.

She said, ‘I can’t believe it, but while you were praying, I felt warmth flow through my entire body, and the pain has completely disappeared.’ The next day, she shared her testimony with my parents and my brother — the pain had not returned. Normally, my brother is embarrassed by me for doing these things and often teases me about it, but my parents said that when his wife shared her story, he just sat there quietly and, for the first time, didn’t make any comments. According to my parents, that in itself was already a miracle…”

Prayer in authority brings appetite!

Let’s hear from one of our church members in their own words:

“On the morning of Monday, May 18, after just a few bites of my breakfast, I suddenly felt terrible pain under my lower left jaw. I immediately prayed and commanded the pain to leave in Jesus’ name. The pain was so intense that after every bite I had to pause before I could take another. With great difficulty, I managed to finish my breakfast.

Before lunch, I prayed again. I started to eat, and the pain returned immediately. Eating was extremely difficult — even just eating a yogurt was excruciating!

In the afternoon, I saw Ann and Hugo. I told them what was happening, and of course, they prayed for me.

That evening, I prepared delicious skewers with roasted potatoes and a fresh salad. My mouth was watering, and I was truly hungry. I thanked God that I was healed by the stripes of Jesus and took my first bite. Instantly, the pain returned! I decided that this had gone on long enough. I had prayed, and Ann and Hugo had prayed. I rebuked the pain, commanded it to leave, and reminded my body that it had to obey and stop causing me pain. With every bite, I commanded my body to listen. When my plate was about halfway empty, my body finally got the message! In an instant, the pain disappeared, and I was able to enjoy a wonderful meal — with some cake from my daughter for dessert. Thank You, Jesus!”

Spectacular healing of knee trauma

We’re pleased to let Jozef De Clercq share his story in his own words:

“Our Father loves us…

At the end of January, I made a wrong movement that severely overloaded my left knee while it was bent. I felt a sharp pain and something tearing inside. It felt immediately serious. I could barely straighten my leg, and pushing myself up from a crouched position was impossible. I had no strength left… I also felt a click in my knee whenever I tried to straighten it past a certain angle, as if a piece of bone was loose.

I stopped all my sports activities and immediately requested an MRI, but I had to wait until early March for the appointment. Psalm 23 — that is my daily prayer, often several times a day, and I kept praying it faithfully. The Lord is our Shepherd; we lack nothing!

Michèle and I still wanted to take a short holiday in February, and even in Spain, I remained extremely cautious. No cycling anymore, just slow walks along the beach — that was all I could manage.

Then came the MRI in early March. The diagnosis was very concerning: the tendon of my thigh muscle, just above the kneecap, was half torn through. If it had been a complete tear, I would have ended up in a wheelchair. That tendon runs like a strong band over the kneecap, which usually protects it.

That band itself had a tear with a gap of 1.7 cm. Normally, injuries with a gap no larger than half a centimetre are treatable — this was way beyond that. The kneecap itself was fractured at the upper right section, and there was also a piece of cartilage broken off at the upper left part. That was the piece I felt clicking when I tried to straighten my knee.

So, it was really not looking good. Later (keep reading, because the Lord works quietly!), I was able to joke about it: when the specialists looked at my knee, they scratched their heads with worried looks. Then they looked at the X-rays and thoughtfully stroked their chins. And from my wide experience with medical issues, I know that this is not a good combination!

There really wasn’t a good treatment option. The only thing they could do was to fit a brace to stabilise the knee and limit bending. I was to have a follow-up MRI at the end of April, and then the specialist would decide how to proceed with rehabilitation.

There was a double risk: the tendon could completely tear, and/or — which would normally follow — fibrous tissue would grow in at the tear. This fibrous tissue, like scar tissue, isn’t flexible and is quite brittle. So, the prognosis was poor… goodbye cycling over the Stelvio!

But I could pray and trust in God… and that’s exactly what I did. People at church also prayed for me. To my great surprise, the pain quickly became much more manageable. I was soon able to leave off the brace and move around quite normally. I still had noticeable weakness and that annoying (and slightly painful) clicking when straightening my knee, but after about two weeks, I was able to start training again on the exercise bike — and every day things improved.

By the end of April, I had my follow-up MRI. The specialist looked at it in amazement: hardly any sign of the injury remained. No trace whatsoever of the dreaded fibrous tissue in the tendon, which almost never happens. The normal range of motion had returned, and 80% of the strength was back. The knee joint as a whole was still in excellent condition. The specialist admitted: he had never seen such a rapid and complete recovery! He even said (his exact words) that he would pay good money to have knees like mine at my age — if he even reaches my age!

He congratulated me and told me I didn’t need to come back. I could fully resume training and put weight on the knee as much as I wanted. He had no further rehab to recommend. When I told him that we have a good and mighty Father who takes good care of us, he looked at me with a hint of amazement.

Right now, I’m in the middle of moving house, and I’m carrying heavy boxes of personal belongings up and down the stairs without any pain. Last week, we laid 100 square metres of laminate flooring, and I had no knee pain at all. Talk about a true miracle!

I know very well who did this… and I want everyone to know, which is why I’m sharing this true testimony. Praise our God. Hallelujah!”

Father heals doctor with heart rhythm disorders

Let’s hear from Jos himself:

“I’m a retired doctor, 68 years old now.

Since my youth, I’ve also been a cycling enthusiast — I even raced competitively in the veterans’ category with the Belgian Cycling Federation… really: a doctor with a helmet, a colorful jersey, a number on his back, eyes on infinity, and mind switched off…

The combination of working long hours and training at night eventually led to me developing a heart rhythm disorder, which, thanks to medication, remained fairly well under control.

There was one occasion when I was hospitalized, but they didn’t need to adjust my treatment, and I was able to continue the intense physical activities I loved and was so used to.

However, this year, the combination of heavy work — my hobby is renovating houses, and this year was particularly intense — and cycling — I even reached the summit of the legendary Stelvio Pass in June — proved too much. I began experiencing increasingly severe episodes of arrhythmia, usually early in the morning, lasting two to three hours, even with the maximum dosage of medication.

My cardiologist, who is also a cyclist, recommended an ablation. Ever since a university professor in cardiology told me that even Eddy Merckx had undergone this treatment, I call it the ‘Eddy Merckx procedure.’ It’s a technique where a catheter is inserted through the blood vessels in the groin and into the heart, puncturing the septum and targeting specific pathways in both the left and right atria, interrupting the signals from the sources of the arrhythmia. In people with otherwise healthy hearts, the results are said to be excellent.

On November 3, I underwent the procedure, and it went fairly well. I was at the hospital for about eight hours, and the immediate aftermath of the operation was normal.

They had warned me, though, that complications could arise after the procedure. And when they did, I was completely thrown off guard. Around day ten, I suddenly experienced extremely severe episodes that lasted 15 to 24 hours and were completely unresponsive to medication. For the first time in my life, I had to call an ambulance for myself to get to the emergency department, just 12 kilometers from our home. At one point, while texting some friends, I nearly blacked out four times… It was a truly frightening situation!

My last episode happened on Sunday, November 23… I couldn’t go to church that day. On Monday, I saw my cardiologist again, but even he was unsure of what to expect. I had informed the prayer team, and on Tuesday, Hugo called me and prayed for me. I felt a wonderfully warm sensation come over me.

I don’t know for sure if I was touched at that moment, since emotional experiences can also create that feeling. But I believed things would work out. God would take care of it for me… why wouldn’t He?

Deep down, I still prepared myself for more episodes. Why would they suddenly stop? But the next episode never came! Following my cardiologist’s advice, I’ve cautiously resumed training. I’m confident: the episodes most likely won’t return. I’m still taking my medication, as the recovery period is about three months, and I’m not there yet. But when the attacks were happening, the medication didn’t help either… so…

God is great and mighty, and He loves His children… Hallelujah!”

The Father loves all of His creation

A testimony from Carine:

“Annick, my neighbor, and I go jogging two to three times a week.

While jogging, we talk about all kinds of things — the kids, the dog, and so on…

One day, she told me during our run that they were going to spend a weekend in Durbuy with the family, and their dog, Imca, was coming along. The Friday before their trip, she had taken Imca to the vet for a rabies vaccination.

On Monday, after the weekend, Annick told me that Imca couldn’t stand on his feet anymore. At first, I thought it might be from the long walks they had possibly done. But his front and hind legs were just lying there, completely limp — something was seriously wrong.

The vet was baffled. He had never seen anything like this before. He didn’t think it could be related to the vaccination. Yet, in my spirit, I had confirmation that it actually was connected.

Imca was kept for observation for a few days at an animal clinic, where they ran some tests.

When they went to pick him up, they were told they would just have to wait and see what would happen. Either he would slowly improve over at least an eight-week period, or he might only partially recover — or perhaps not at all.

From the very beginning, I spoke resurrection power over Imca and commanded him to rise up in Jesus’ name.

I declared this in the presence of Annick and the children. In that moment, I knew this would bring results — there was a certainty inside me that it was going to be alright. The father and grandfather tried to lower the children’s expectations, as they looked at the situation and didn’t see much hope.

Annick and the children were sad. There were lots of tears.

I told them that Imca could feel when they were losing hope, that we needed to believe together in his healing, and that Imca would recover faster if we all kept our faith strong. That encouraged them to keep going.

And Imca improved incredibly! Every day, there was a little miracle to see: first, a wagging tail, then better breathing, he could lie on his side, his back legs gained strength and he began to crawl, then his front legs gained strength, he could stand, he started walking, then running — and all of this within just one week!

Now that’s what you call a miracle…

We were overjoyed, the neighbors were overjoyed, God is great, He loves His creation…

Thank You, Father!”

Pelvic instability incurable? Not for Jesus!

Jasmijn shares her story:

“Since the birth of Karalien, our third child, I occasionally experienced some discomfort in my pelvis. After about nine months, the pain became too much to ignore. I couldn’t walk anymore — not even ten steps. Any position that put all my weight on one leg was just too painful.

Through my family doctor, I ended up at the physical therapist. I wholeheartedly believe in divine healing, but of course, we also need to take care of our bodies. So it seemed logical to me that I should work on strengthening my muscles.

During the second-to-last physiotherapy session, the therapist went on at length about my ‘problem.’ She told me I would struggle with an unstable pelvis for the rest of my life. Strengthening my abdominal and back muscles would help, she said, but there’s really nothing you can do for an unstable pelvis. By building up the surrounding muscles, you create a sort of corset to hold your pelvis stable. No less than ten times she told me I would have lifelong trouble. I rejected her words in Jesus’ name and declared healing over my pelvis.

In the meantime, I had also developed pain in my foot — in the tendon that runs from my big toe to my ankle. Almost every step was painful. Not fun at all! During the final physiotherapy session, I asked the therapist for advice. Her diagnosis was an inflamed tendon. Really, you’re supposed to let it rest, but since it’s in your foot, that’s nearly impossible. So the treatment consisted of taking anti-inflammatories and giving the tendon a daily (painful) massage. I could do this myself at home, or if it was too difficult, she said I could come to her for it.

And again, she repeatedly told me that I would have ongoing issues with my pelvis.

Once again, I blessed my pelvis and foot with complete healing, at that moment seemingly without any visible results.

About two weeks later, during a (yet again) blessed time of praise at our church on a Sunday morning, Ann prayed for healing and restoration. The prayer was very general — not specifically for me, nor for pelvic or foot issues. At that moment, I didn’t feel anything physically, but I was deeply aware of God’s presence.

A few days later at home, I suddenly realized that all the pain and discomfort in both my pelvis and my foot had completely disappeared! I tested my pelvis by doing movements that I previously couldn’t manage.

Now, four months later, everything is still working perfectly, completely pain-free!

Thank You, Jesus!”

Complicated surgery avoided, thanks in part to the prayer box

On May 3, we received the following email from Luc:

“At the beginning of March, I asked my brothers and sisters in my church, the Christian community in Londerzeel, and a few close friends to pray for me. One of my friends, Cora, placed my prayer request in your prayer box. Today, I would love to share with you how the Lord has answered our prayers.

My cardiologist had recommended a ‘complicated procedure that could take several hours.’ The reason was arrhythmia. Without the procedure, my heart condition would deteriorate, and I would also be at risk of a stroke. However, the cardiologist agreed to postpone the surgery for a little while longer, even though he thought the chances of recovery were small. In the meantime, we would try medication. I told him I would ask my brothers and sisters to pray for me.

So, I asked for your prayers. Prayer for healing: for a heart that beats normally. Prayer for joy, rest, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Prayer for wisdom in making decisions, and for wisdom for the doctor in his analysis, evaluation, and advice. And prayer for Ritje, my dear wife.

God is good. Since March 7, I haven’t experienced any more dizziness, fatigue, palpitations, or other discomforts. Everything I asked prayer for, I have received. Throughout it all, I felt carried by your prayers and was full of confidence in a good outcome. After all, God works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). This promise is for me. This certainty is anchored in my heart. My brothers and sisters — all of you — stood in the gap for me.

Cora also gave us a book: Healing from Cancer by Hugo Van Leemputten. A remarkable story, a story of learning to trust God and to hold on to His promises. It was such an encouragement to me to read it. I highly recommend it — not just for those who are sick.

At the end of April, as planned, Ritje and I went back to the doctor for another examination. During the ECG, the doctor remarked that my heart was beating calmly. During the stress test, my heart stayed steady. After the tests, we sat down with the doctor for the evaluation. He flipped through my medical records and then turned to us and said: ‘Mr. Cauwenbergh, it looks like you’ve healed yourself.’ It took a moment for his words to sink in. Then I replied, ‘People have been praying for me, doctor.’ The doctor responded, ‘You seem to have a lot of support from that Christian community of yours.’ I could only agree wholeheartedly.

The ‘complicated procedure that could take several hours’ is off the table. I’ll go back for a follow-up in November, and I still need to take medication. But I already know that this story isn’t over yet.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers and your warm hearts. Every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows (James 1:17).

I have received a beautiful gift from the Father, and your prayers have delivered it to me.

The LORD is good; His love endures forever, His faithfulness continues through all generations.”

Shoulder of 81-year-old completely healed

Theo, who is now almost 82 years old, still cycles a lot and can work hard.

He wholeheartedly believes in the Father’s promise from Psalm 92:12-15:

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in Him.”

He shares this testimony wherever he goes, whenever people ask how he manages to stay so healthy.

A few years ago, he had a serious fall while cycling and badly injured his left shoulder. At first, he could only move his lower arm — his shoulder was completely locked. Thanks to persistent prayer, his condition did improve over time. He regained movement in his shoulder but still couldn’t do any work with it. When his brother asked if he could come and repair a roller shutter at his house, Theo had to decline because he needed full use of his shoulder for that kind of task.

Then, on Sunday, March 9, when Jan Sjoerd Pasterkamp was speaking at our church, he shared a few words of knowledge for healing at the end of the service.

One of them was about someone’s left shoulder that had been injured in an accident or fall, and that it was being healed. Theo immediately thanked the Father silently and added right away that he would go and help his brother with the roller shutter.

That Monday, he went to his brother’s house. The roller shutter was completely jammed inside the casing above the window, and Theo had to work with his arms raised high for two whole days to fix it… it was a tough job! He worked hard using both shoulders, and there was no pain at all — his shoulder was fully healed!

Theo is deeply thankful to the Father for this, shares his testimony everywhere he goes, and is once again working hard with that shoulder!

Pinched nerve released after prayer

Let’s hear from Carine herself:

“On Monday, January 6, I started to feel discomfort in my left hip throughout the day… it was quite painful! It felt like something was pinched.

On Tuesday, I went to the service feeling as though my left leg was shorter than my right.

After the meeting, I went to Ann, who said it was probably a pinched nerve in my back. She prayed for me. I received the prayer and was confident that everything would be fine.

On Wednesday evening, I suddenly realized the problem had completely disappeared. That evening, I wholeheartedly thanked my Heavenly Father, because He is amazing!

Surely His goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life… and of course, yours too!”

Cancer diagnosis turns into "Everything is benign"

Let’s hear from Imelda herself:

“At the end of October 2013, I went for a routine check-up with my gynecologist. I had no complaints at all, it was just a regular control. During the examination, I was a bit surprised when the gynecologist performed an ultrasound — that had never happened during my previous check-ups. She discovered a cyst measuring 4.5 by 4 cm. She told me that if it were a cyst filled with watery fluid, it wouldn’t be too concerning. But this cyst had a different structure: it had ‘mushroom-like’ growths on the sides. I could clearly see them on the screen and understood what she meant. These ‘mushrooms’ were definitely not a good sign.

My gynecologist said the cyst needed to be removed urgently, but she first wanted a second opinion from a colleague who would also assist with the surgery. A few days later, I saw her colleague, who did another ultrasound. He confirmed that both my ovaries and uterus needed to be removed, and he made several calculations as well. The following day, back at my gynecologist’s office, she told me they had decided to refer me to Gasthuisberg hospital, to Professor Vergote. I strongly felt that the two gynecologists who examined me didn’t want to take the risk of performing the surgery themselves.

I looked up Professor Vergote online and discovered that he was not only a gynecologist but primarily an oncologist (cancer specialist). I was able to see him the very next day — incredibly fast! The professor confirmed that my uterus and ovaries would need to be removed, and that during the operation, he would decide whether further tissue would need to be taken out. ‘We need to make sure we remove all the cancer, madam,’ he said. That did give me a bit of a shock, but honestly, I was never really worried, because by then, a lot of prayer had already been lifted up. Michel, my husband, and I prayed that, if there were any malignant cells, our Heavenly Father would turn them into benign ones.

After an MRI scan, the surgery was performed. My uterus and ovaries were removed. Just a few hours after the operation, the professor came to me, visibly relieved, to tell me that everything had turned out to be benign! I can only say: ‘Lord Jesus, thank You!’ And thank you to everyone who prayed for me!

When my family doctor later removed the stitches, I asked her why some women have a horizontal incision and others a vertical one. She explained that with a horizontal incision, the surgeon is very limited, but with a vertical incision, they have full access in every direction. I had a vertical incision because they truly didn’t know what they would find…

And once again, you realize that God still performs miracles… Thank You, Father!!!!”

Ask and you shall receive

Some time ago, we received the following email from Vera:

Good news must be shared as a testimony. Here it is: This morning, I was asked to pray for someone with a fistula. I did just that. This evening, I received this message:

Dear sweet Vera!

A miracle has happened! The family doctor saw the swelling on Wednesday, called the surgeon on Thursday, and on Friday we saw the surgeon, who confirmed it was a fistula that needed to be operated on as soon as possible.

So, today… right up to the operating table… They found NOTHING! Truly, they even called in a second surgeon and checked everything again. Afterwards, the doctor came to the bedside and said, “A miracle has happened, we cannot explain it!” We told them that we have a mighty God who can do far more than people believe. So truly, they found nothing at all… it’s really a miracle, and we praise our Almighty God for it!

When I (Vera) asked if I could share this in church, the response was:

Yes, you definitely can, I would love to shout it from the rooftops! I even told my mother that way. She used to have no interest in God, but she’s already been to church a few times. And earlier, she said she’s really starting to believe… Praise God for that! And now our children also have something to think about again. Hugs from both of us, and thank you so much for your prayers!”

In March 2012, Ludwine was told by a spine specialist that she needed surgery.

She was suffering from a narrowing of the spinal canal, which was compressing her nerves. Without surgery, this would lead to paralysis of her legs and life in a wheelchair. The diagnosis was difficult to hear, but she decided to face it with Jesus, and we prayed for a smooth operation and miraculous recovery. On June 28, 2012, Ludwine successfully underwent surgery. What followed was a long, but smooth, rehabilitation process, during which Ludwine repeatedly said she could never have gone through it without her faith in a loving Father who gave her the strength to continue with patience and peace. The many cards, phone calls, prayers, and visits from people in the church were also a great support.

At her final check-up with the specialist, one year after the surgery, new scans were taken. The specialist was visibly amazed and said the cartilage at the site of the operation had healed exceptionally well. For many patients, this type of recovery takes 3 to 4 years, but for Ludwine, it was already complete! Ludwine joyfully shared that she was very thankful for the surgeon’s skilled hands, but that she had also prayed, and that God had taken over where the specialist’s work had ended!

Spectacular recovery after united prayer

On March 12, we received an urgent email with a prayer request from Hans and Gerda Eijsackers, staff members of Gods Ambassade in the Netherlands. They were asking for prayer for Leeuwke, the 1.5-year-old grandson of Gerda’s brother. He had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and was on a ventilator. The doctors didn’t know exactly what had gone wrong.

On Sunday, March 9, while Leeuwke’s parents were in church, his mother was called out of the service by a nursery worker because Leeuwke wasn’t doing well at all. When she saw him, she was shocked — she had never seen him so lethargic. He was lying completely limp in his stroller, bright red and barely moving. His parents immediately had the church pray for him during the service and then went home with him.

Once home, Leeuwke began vomiting — and it went on the entire night! The next morning, his mother took him to the family doctor, who reassured her and said there was no immediate risk of dehydration.

By six o’clock in the evening, her husband called the emergency doctor’s post because he saw Leeuwke was really deteriorating. They were told to come in immediately and were referred to the pediatrician, who admitted Leeuwke to the hospital and started administering fluids right away. The initial diagnosis was dehydration. The protocol in the Netherlands is to first administer fluids via a tube directly into the intestines. They do this twice, and normally children respond well. If that doesn’t work, they move on to IV fluids.

Unfortunately, the feeding tube didn’t work, and by morning they started IV fluids — but Leeuwke continued to worsen. He was almost completely unconscious, and the pediatrician was visibly shaking because the situation was going so badly. She had to insert an IV, but couldn’t find a vein anywhere. Eventually, she managed to get it into a vein in his forehead.

With his blood pressure dangerously low, his heart rate constantly over 200, and blue spots appearing under his skin, he was rushed with sirens blaring to the ICU at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. The doctors spent nearly two hours stabilizing him. He was diagnosed with septic shock. When his parents asked the doctor if Leeuwke might die, the doctor told them their son was critically ill and that he could not say whether Leeuwke would survive.

We immediately joined in prayer and placed him in our prayer box at the church. Despite five days of intensive fluid treatment and blood pressure medication, Leeuwke’s blood pressure remained critically low.

During the night of Saturday to Sunday, March 16-17, Gerda’s brother and Hans both prayed powerfully for Leeuwke — without knowing that the other was doing the same. The next morning, the parents were told that, all of a sudden, Leeuwke’s body had spontaneously recovered. The doctor was completely astonished! Two days later, he was able to leave the ICU. He still needed some time to recover from the heavy medication, but he fully healed! In June, his parents spoke again with the ICU doctor, who was still amazed at Leeuwke’s sudden recovery and the fact that he had no lasting effects whatsoever!

Thank You, Father, for Your life over Leeuwke!

Total healing from allergies

Let’s hear from Eva, Sarah’s mother:

“The doctors had predicted that Sarah would be born weighing 2.6 kg, but she arrived as a healthy baby of 3.2 kg and 51 cm long. Since breastfeeding didn’t work out, I switched to bottle-feeding after about six weeks.

When Sarah was two months old, I noticed something wasn’t quite right and consulted Kind & Gezin (a child welfare organization). They told me that aside from her dry skin, everything seemed fine. But her skin kept getting drier, and soon she developed eczema in the creases of her knees, on her feet, arms, and wrists. Sarah was growing very slowly and wasn’t gaining enough weight. At one point, they even asked if I was feeding her enough…

Her skin continued to worsen. I was advised to give her more oil baths and to use almond oil for moisturizing. Thankfully, I never used the almond oil, as we later discovered she was allergic to it!

When she was nine months old, we consulted a pediatric specialist. By that time, her weight and height had fallen below the lowest growth curve. The specialist immediately told us that Sarah was allergic to milk. And that was just the beginning… Further testing revealed she was also allergic to eggs, cobalt, chromium, and nickel. Later, cross-allergies were identified, including allergies to nuts, seeds, black tea, and more.

Sarah couldn’t consume any products containing milk or eggs, nor anything related to beans or grains, because of their nickel content — so no coffee, chocolate, or soy milk. White bread was acceptable since it contains very little nickel. We had to order special milk from the pharmacy. Only fresh fruits and vegetables were allowed — nothing canned or pre-packaged, which meant no cookies or treats either.

Cobalt is found in strong cleaning products and bleach, blue clothing, clothing labels, and printed materials like newspapers. Chromium is found in cutlery, so we had to use utensils with plastic handles. There were so many things to avoid…

The doctors told us she might outgrow her allergies to milk and eggs as she got older, but the allergies to chromium, nickel, and cobalt would be lifelong.

Advice from a dietitian and allergist didn’t bring any solutions. Instead of learning what foods Sarah could eat, we were told more foods to avoid. So we adjusted to Sarah’s allergies and kept her on a strict diet: fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, white bread, syrup, honey, jam, and the special milk from the pharmacy… no extras for Sarah.

We knew that God heals, but we hadn’t truly stood on that promise. We had prayed for healing before, but without results.

In May 2003, we enrolled Sarah in kindergarten. It was exciting news, except for the fact that at school, birthdays were always celebrated with delicious treats — waffles, pancakes, cake, and more — all things Sarah couldn’t eat. They suggested I send something along for her, like a piece of fruit.

That was the tipping point for me to really stand firm in faith for healing.

I asked God to heal her before she turned three, so no one could say she had simply ‘outgrown’ the allergies, and so she could fully enjoy all the treats at school like her classmates.

On the night of August 31 to September 1, 2003, Sarah woke up to go to the bathroom. She was 2 years, 7 months, 1 week, and 1 day old and had been potty trained for over six months. She had never woken me up at night to use the toilet before.

She did this for 14 nights… until I realized something had changed! When Dirk came home from work, I told him I believed Sarah was healed. We gave her a piece of cake, trusting there would be no negative reaction — and there wasn’t!

From that moment, I stopped checking packaging labels at the store. I believed Sarah was healed and wanted to show God my trust. Sarah has continued to grow taller than her younger sister Rebekka, who has had normal growth and weight gain. That was confirmation to us that Sarah was growing well and healed.

To this day, Sarah eats and drinks everything. Blue is her favorite color, and she happily wears blue clothes. I use all kinds of cleaning products that contain cobalt, and chrome-plated items are no problem for her… The Father completely healed her of every trace of allergy before she turned three!!!”

God gave Henk two new hips during the healing school.

We met Henk Kokenberg in March 2012 at the healing school in Apeldoorn. Henk was 55 years old, and at first glance, you wouldn’t have noticed anything wrong with him. Here’s his story, just as he shared it with us at the end of 2012:

Three years ago, I started having severe trouble with my hips. I work as an independent contractor in construction. Whenever I climbed a ladder or got onto a roof, my hip would sometimes lock up. It felt like a knife was being driven into my muscles and nerves and then twisted slowly… an unbearable pain! If I waited a little while, it would ease up, but it was far from comfortable.

At the end of 2010, I consulted an orthopedic specialist at the hospital. He took X-rays of both my hips. That same day, they called me with the results. I was told that both of my hip joints were completely worn out, the left side even worse than the right. The head of the femur looked like an apple that had been left too long in the fruit bowl. There was no space left in the joint at all. The joints were completely destroyed.

The orthopedist gave me silicone injections to help me move more easily. But it went horribly wrong: I ended up bedridden for two weeks with severe pain, relying on morphine. There was only one option left — two hip replacements.

I kept postponing the surgery. I read in my Bible that Jesus healed, and I told God that I wanted Him to heal me. Then the healing school came to Apeldoorn in March 2012. What I heard that first Saturday confirmed what I had already believed… it was such a huge encouragement! I went home and shared everything with my wife, Jannie. I told her that we were going to start living very differently and more healthily.

On the second Saturday of the school, the topic of self-ministry was taught in the afternoon. Hugo also received a word of knowledge and called forward anyone with knee problems. Several people testified of instant healing. I thought, ‘But I have problems with my hips!’

During the self-ministry, I placed my hand on my left hip because that was where I had the most trouble. When I got home, I felt like the constant exhaustion in my hips was gone. I ran up the stairs two steps at a time, something I hadn’t done in a long time! I could barely make it up the stairs before; the people I worked with used to carry my tools upstairs because I couldn’t. I couldn’t even carry a cup of coffee upstairs because I needed both hands to pull myself up. Walking was completely out of the question, especially on the beach!

Shortly afterward, we went on vacation to Germany, to a region with hills and mountains. We go there every year, but the previous year, I couldn’t walk the hiking trails anymore. This time, I walked 15 kilometers up and down hills without a problem. Even climbing stairs was no issue. There’s a staircase there with 205 steps — we went down, had lunch, and then climbed back up again… and I had no pain at all! On King’s Day, I walked all day without any issues. Now, I can do my work again without any problems… Father gave me two new hips! And I enjoy them every single day!”

A whole new life

We received a very special card from Ria for New Year’s.

It began like this: “I would love to thank the Lord for the new life I have received. For me, Psalm 103 verse 5 (‘who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s’) is truly real. I go cycling, swimming, walk for miles with the dog, work in my garden… my bamboo forest is slowly turning into a real garden.”

In October 2012, Ria had been free from medication for two years, and that changed everything for her…

Ria suffered from epilepsy for almost 30 years. It all started back in 1987. At the time, Ria was attending adult education classes. She fell down the stairs at school, and a few days later, she fell again at home. When she went walking with her husband, her knees would suddenly give out. She went to the doctor and underwent extensive testing. At first, they thought it might be MS because of her muscle weakness, but eventually, she also began to lose consciousness and had severe epileptic seizures.

Over the years, she saw many doctors and ended up on a whole pile of medications. At one point, she was taking seven different kinds of pills. Besides epilepsy, she also struggled with low blood pressure and severe vertigo. Every time she left her house, she ended up in the hospital because she would have a seizure somewhere along the way. Doctors tried every treatment available… yet the seizures continued. If she had a seizure at home, it was manageable, but if it happened outside, she was always hospitalized.

This made Ria a prisoner in her own home. She only went outside to come to our church, because someone would come pick her up and bring her home again. Even at church, she often had seizures, but people faithfully prayed for her for many years. Ria’s trust in God grew, and she came to know her Heavenly Father better and better… and He had promised healing!

At one point, she tried to attend English classes, but she had seizures there as well and was soon no longer welcome.

The medication made her very drowsy, so much so that she couldn’t manage the household on her own. Every afternoon she had to nap, or things would go wrong. Ria didn’t like this at all.

In the fall of 2010, she was still taking four anti-epileptic tablets per day. At a certain point, she noticed that sometimes she forgot her evening dose and yet didn’t suffer any side effects… That got her thinking about stopping the medication altogether. She knew it wouldn’t help to discuss this with her family doctor, as they would never agree. She still went monthly to get her prescriptions filled.

One Sunday in October, she spoke about this with Ann after a service. Ann advised her to taper off the medication very slowly and not to stop abruptly. That afternoon, Ria was with a few others at Dirk and Eva’s home. Dirk asked her how she was doing and how things were with her medication… how could he have known that she was thinking about stopping? They prayed together about it.

Ria went home, took her medication for a few more days, and then stopped — from one day to the next… without any seizure, without any side effects… Slowly, Ria’s strength returned. Today, she does everything herself: housekeeping, shopping, she rides her bike again, takes long walks with the dog, and works in the garden. In the past, just spending a few moments in the sun was enough to trigger a seizure… but now, Ria enjoys the sun to the fullest! Even her low blood pressure and vertigo have completely disappeared.

When we asked her what her family doctor had to say about all this, Ria replied that she hadn’t seen her doctor in over two years… she simply hasn’t needed them! Ria truly received a whole new life, and she is overjoyed!”

Do not forget any of His blessings, even if they happened long ago!

Not long ago, we heard a wonderful testimony from Rose-Marie, going back quite a few years. Her son Bart was about four years old at the time — and he’s now 17!

At that time, Rose-Marie had already been under treatment by a gynecologist for about two years due to an inflamed cervix. She had taken many courses of antibiotics, but her condition only worsened.

One day, her gynecologist told her that medication could no longer help, and surgery would be necessary. First, he would need to conduct further tests to determine how deep the problem was and which part he would need to remove.

Rose-Marie was completely panicked. She had been a Christian for about a year and had only just started attending a church in Wijgmaal. She had two Christian friends and called one of them. Unfortunately, this friend told her that she should prepare her will, as she knew someone in the same situation who had since passed away. Her child had ended up in an institution, and everything had gone terribly wrong… Not exactly comforting!

After that call, she was even more upset. Then she called her other friend, who reassured her. This friend told Rose-Marie to call her pastor and ask to be anointed with oil. Rose-Marie felt too shy to do this, so her friend advised her to speak with the pastor’s wife instead.

That’s what she did, and the pastoral couple came to visit her. The pastor read from James 5 (about anointing the sick) and asked if she believed it. Rose-Marie said yes. She believed God could do it — although, as she admits now, she didn’t quite believe He would do it for her! Then they anointed her and prayed together for healing.

Rose-Marie didn’t feel anything special at that moment, but that night she had a profound experience of God’s presence. She hardly slept at all, was in tears the whole time, yet felt deeply joyful. She couldn’t stay in bed, so she got down on her knees to pray, give thanks, and sing. She kept hearing the song by Elly and Rikkert in her mind: “Do you know that you’re a pearl, a pearl in God’s hand?”

It was a truly special night!

The next morning, she received a letter from the gynecologist saying that she wouldn’t need to come back for another three months. She didn’t understand at all… He had said she needed surgery, and now suddenly, her appointment was postponed by three months?

The follow-up tests turned out to be completely normal!

And even a year ago, during a routine check-up, everything was still perfectly normal!

So, a problem that had persisted and worsened over two years completely disappeared after anointing and believing prayer!

Floor of mouth phlegmon yields to prayer

Sometime in November, Ann began experiencing tooth pain.

At first, it wasn’t constant and was difficult to pinpoint. After a few days, she noticed a small swelling in the gum area near the floor of her mouth. She wondered if an abscess was developing, but there was no throbbing pain. However, the swelling gradually increased and became uncomfortable while eating. At one point, the entire right side of the floor of her mouth was badly swollen. Then, painful and heavily swollen lymph nodes appeared in her neck and above her collarbone. She could hardly lie on that side. The pain also radiated to her right ear and her head. From the very start, prayers had been lifted for her, but as the pain became more severe, it was already Friday… right before the weekend. So the question arose: should she call the dentist or not?

Hugo, Inger, Ann, and Nadine prayed together again, and from that moment, the swelling gradually began to subside. By that Friday evening, it was completely gone. Within a few more days, all the swollen lymph nodes disappeared as well.

A few days later, the swelling started to come back, but Ann rebuked it — and it didn’t return! Thank You, Father, that You have given us authority to walk in victory over these things!

In need of new knees?

1. Go to the supply room!

Let’s hear from Greta herself:
“About four years ago, I started experiencing a lot of pain in my knees.

The doctor prescribed physical therapy. But two years ago, the pain became unbearable, and I could hardly walk anymore. I was referred to a specialist, who, after many X-rays, diagnosed me with bad knees (osteoarthritis). He said I would eventually qualify for knee replacements… but he didn’t know when that would be.

Right away, I asked my Heavenly Father for two new knees. Many prayers were said for my knees, and at times the pain would completely disappear.

At the Father Heart School in Vaalbeek in July 2012, Michel organized a walk during a free afternoon. I really wanted to join because he promised it would be an easy walk. I put on two support bandages, and to my surprise — wonder upon wonder — I walked for an hour and fifteen minutes without pain. That was a huge surprise for me; it had been so long since I’d been able to do that! That evening, during the healing service, I also received prayer for my finger joints.

Josée prayed for me, and I was invited to step into the Father’s supply room. I received my new knees right there. I’m still able to walk well! Sometimes I still experience some pain and stiffness, but I know the day is coming when everything will be completely healed. I truly look forward to it and thank Jesus every day — I will keep persevering!”

2. Or have your husband lay hands on you

Suzanne woke up one Wednesday night with severe pain in her knee. Her thoughts immediately went to her other knee, which had once given her a lot of trouble — and that had taken quite a long time to heal! She had experienced multiple severe joint and tendon inflammations in the past, which made her fearful of a new flare-up. So she tackled that fear head-on and dismissed it.

She prayed for healing because she and Harry had to attend a funeral on Thursday. They went — which in itself was a miracle, as last time she hadn’t been able to walk — but she was still in a lot of pain. Yet, she kept declaring steadfastly that the pain had no right to stay and must leave… That evening, before going to sleep, she placed Harry’s hand on her painful knee… The next morning, she got up completely pain-free, and the pain never came back! She is overjoyed with this victory!

3. Or be anointed for healing…

Theo, a young 78, had a cyst behind his left knee that had been causing him a lot of trouble lately. The doctor told him there was really only one option if it got too bad: surgery to remove the cyst. Recently, he couldn’t even walk 100 meters without experiencing pain. When he had to stand up, he had to stretch out his left leg a bit first, then carefully rise and start walking slowly. To climb the stairs at the football stadium, he had to hold on tightly and take each step cautiously. In the evenings, he would take the dog out while cycling, because walking had become too difficult… Yes, that cyst was really bothering him!

On Sunday, October 28, we had a healing service. Anyone who wished could be anointed for healing. Theo went to Nadine and received anointing… and very quickly, the pain disappeared! Now he can walk smoothly and faster without pain. Just last week, he was up in a tree with his chainsaw (something he hadn’t been able to do because he couldn’t put weight on his leg!), he can put on his trousers again without needing to hold on to something, and he’s back to walking the dog in the evenings on foot… and he tells everyone how the Father has healed him once again!

Forgive, yes but...

FORGIVE, YES, BUT WHAT IF YOUR HUSBAND LEAVES YOU?

(This testimony is anonymous, name known to the editorial team)

Forgiveness is not an easy topic, but when God commands us to do something, He doesn’t want to make it difficult for us — He wants to set us free!

Until recently, I thought of myself as someone who could forgive easily. But it was always about small things, and in the Word it says that God will avenge us and bring us justice when we release people and situations to Him. So, I always forgave quickly, not so much for the people I was forgiving, but for myself. God can bring justice and “repay” far better than my debtors ever could.

And then my husband decided to leave me… this was an entirely different matter for me. I had never felt such deep pain, I felt immensely betrayed and deeply humiliated. I knew I couldn’t demand “payment” twice. Either I demanded “payment” from my husband, or I released him and expected it from God. Since I had always dealt quickly with such situations, I thought this time would be the same: I will make a decision with my will, I will forgive, and God will restore, end of story. But even after I made that intellectual decision, I kept thinking negatively about him, and negative scenarios kept replaying in my mind. I didn’t understand it and found it incredibly difficult to stop thinking about it… it kept playing over and over in my thoughts.
I also found it hard to concentrate on God because all the negative thoughts and scenarios were filling my mind. I had prayed several times and asked God to help me with this… But I didn’t hear an answer — it was way too busy in my head!

After a few weeks, I prayed one Tuesday afternoon: “Father, I think You want to say something to me, but I can’t hear You — my mind is too full of thoughts. Please speak to me at night when I’m asleep because at least then I’m not thinking!” The night from Wednesday to Thursday, God spoke very clearly to me. I think I was asleep, but my spirit was awake, and God was very clear. He told me I had to forgive. I replied that I didn’t understand — I thought I had already forgiven! God said again that I had to forgive. He made it clear to me that the forgiveness I had given was conditional. I had never seen it that way or expressed it like that, but I immediately knew God was right. I had forgiven conditionally, meaning my forgiveness would only take effect once my husband showed remorse and regret. God told me this wouldn’t work. I had to fully release my debtor to Him and surrender him completely without any claim.

The next day, I wrestled with this for a long time. I really wanted to obey and do what God asked, but I now realized that it was a huge step. I couldn’t do it — I didn’t think it was fair, what had been done to me was so terrible…
Then, as we had learned in our church, I made a list of everything he had done to me and all the things he should have done but hadn’t. It became clear to me that he could never make up for all of it. Maybe he could show remorse and change from then on, but he could never undo the lost years or erase the pain and sorrow.

Only God can do that. Only God can restore me and turn the situation around for good. Then I realized I was indeed better off expecting it from God than from him, but for that, I had to let him go and drop every claim I had placed on him.

I couldn’t do this in my own strength. I prayed: “God, I can’t do this, but You can. I want to do it, but I can’t manage it. Will You please help me and do it in me?” After all, it is God who works in us both to will and to act (Philippians 2:13)!
Then I simply spoke out: “I forgive you,” and God set me free. The negative thoughts and scenarios disappeared immediately! It also hurts less now when I think about it or am confronted with it…
When God asks something of you, He gives you the strength and does it because He so deeply desires to set us free and heal us… His love for us is indescribably great!

Healing from depression

Let’s hear from Rose-Marie herself:

“Before my conversion in 1997, I lived from one nervous breakdown to the next. I had a very hard time as a single mother. When I came to faith, the love of God filled me so much that I never felt alone again.

However, in 2009 I fell into a deep depression again. I denied it and was filled with guilt… and therefore, I didn’t heal…

I tried to cope by exercising a lot and working far too hard. That landed me in the crisis center of the St. Peter’s Hospital. I couldn’t understand it at all… I thought a Christian wasn’t supposed to get depressed.

They started me on antidepressants, and in the middle of that difficult period, I got to know Gods Ambassade. At that time, I was attending another church and I had no intention of staying at Gods Ambassade. I just saw it as a time to find some peace and regain my strength. After a year, I decided to join the healing school. What I learned there was all new to me and so wonderful! It was exactly what I needed!

A month later, I received the assurance that I could stop taking the antidepressants I had been on for over a year. I had already tried to stop after six months, without prayer, but I had failed. This time it was completely different… I had found such deep peace!
I quit from one day to the next because I believed that God had healed me… I was completely healed!

In December 2011, I struggled again. I was about to go back to the doctor for antidepressants. I was in a full panic and thought everything had returned. Thankfully, I first had a conversation with Ann, who explained that this happens more often and that it is a strategy of the enemy. He wants us to believe that everything has returned when it hasn’t! Ann prayed with me and broke the lie. The next day, I felt completely well again! Thank You, Father!!!”

Healing School Apeldoorn, Father confirms through miracles

Edwin de Ruiter, our staff member in Apeldoorn, gives his own report of the school on Saturday, April 21:

“I look back with a very good feeling on the healing school last Saturday. We received a lot of positive reactions again!

Last night, we had a ‘Wake-up’ service at our church building. Wake-up is a renewal movement of Christians from various churches and congregations, with the desire to see the Kingdom of God become visible in Apeldoorn and the surrounding villages. To that end, they hold a service at our church every two weeks.

Last night, Gerard de Groot (Levend Woord Church, Rotterdam) was supposed to speak, but he was prevented at the very last moment. Because the main church hall was completely full (about 200 people), Jan Willem Grievink, initiator and driving force behind Wake-up Apeldoorn and participant of the healing school last Saturday, decided to speak himself.
At the beginning of his sermon, he shared a testimony of what happened the day before at the healing school. At one point, Hugo received a word of knowledge that Father wanted to heal knees. Six people with knee problems came forward, one of them was Jan Willem. Jan Willem had a meniscus problem and had not been able to walk without pain for a long time, let alone climb stairs. Hugo prayed for his knee and asked him to do something he couldn’t do. Jan Willem went to climb stairs, came back, and said the pain had shifted from the inside to the outside and was already much less. Hugo prayed again, and all the pain completely disappeared…
If you’d like to hear his testimony personally, I recommend you download his sermon from last night (April 22) and go to the 07:00 minute mark: http://www.wakeupapeldoorn.nl/downloads/. Beautiful story!”

Another lady also testified that the pain in her knee completely disappeared, and when she prayed during the “self-ministry” for her elbow, the pain in her elbow also vanished… the Lord worked alongside and confirmed the word by the signs that accompanied it (Mark 16:20).

Would you also like to hear more about healing and receive healing yourself?
Then come to our next healing school in Apeldoorn on Saturday, May 26!
We will be speaking extensively on the topic of “receiving and holding on to healing” and about rejection, a problem that almost everyone deals with to some degree…
Remember: Father wants to set you completely free!

Breakthrough in Health

A BREAKTHROUGH IN HEALTH

On March 19, we received an email from Lieneke from the Netherlands. She had attended all parts of our Healing School and the Father Heart School. We’ll let Lieneke speak for herself:

“It’s been a long time since you last heard from me. The last time we saw each other was in July 2010 at the Father Heart School. I have often spoken about you and tried to encourage others just as you have always encouraged me. One of the things I used to testify about was that whenever I was around you, my headaches and exhaustion would always disappear!!!
From the very beginning (almost 7 years ago), I knew that your way of handling God’s Word is simply the truth. Yet, I turned out to be quite a slow learner, because those headaches kept coming back…

After the first few lessons in 2005, I eagerly testified in our church about God’s healing power, which is available to everyone at all times. Sadly, I received a lot of negative reactions because a woman in our church had recently passed away from cancer. It was far too sensitive at the time. This unfortunately made me inactive within the church for years. I no longer dared to step out in faith and pray for healing. Slowly, it became more of a “far-from-my-bed story” for me, and as a result, my headaches worsened.

In January 2012, I once again went to the family doctor. After all those years, he was finally able to tell me what was wrong. He had recently read an article about the causes of an open ductus Botalli. In this condition, there is a connection between the aorta (the main artery of the body) and the pulmonary artery (the lung artery). This connection always exists in the fetus but normally closes within the first few days after birth… but mine did not close. As a little girl, I often suffered from pneumonia because oxygen-rich blood was flowing into my lungs. Thankfully, the defect was detected and I underwent surgery when I was 3 years old. Now, my doctor explained that the root cause of this issue was that the sensors controlling my blood flow were simply defective. He told me that all of my symptoms in adulthood were due to this and that I needed to see a neurologist. He would prescribe the right medication. Without the pills, according to him, my symptoms would never go away.

The wonderful thing is that at the moment the doctor said that, my faith in healing from our Heavenly Father was rekindled! That appointment with the neurologist never happened. When I got home, my husband and I spoke life over those sensors, and at that moment, I knew I was healed!!!
Now, a few months later… I feel reborn and healthy. Occasionally, I still experience a slight headache, but I know it no longer belongs to me. I am learning more and more to walk in authority and to not let my health be stolen again.
It also helps me tremendously to regularly watch and listen to sermons from Andrew Wommack, as well as testimonies from people who have been healed. This rekindles my enthusiasm for the Bible.
I want to shout my story — and above all, God’s story — from the rooftops and speak healing over others. I am incredibly thankful for what God is doing and has already done in my life, thankful for my loving husband who is willing to take steps of faith with me, and for my friend Els, with whom I pray together every week.
To all four of you (Hugo, Inger, Ann, and Nadine), I want to say once again: thank you for your patience with this slow learner. You remain an incredible example to me!!!”
